Listening to the air ducts get cleaned. I guess I'll sleep later.

I got about 120 square feet of hideous lath and plaster wall pulled down, and a wall about 5x8 feet removed. Soon the other side is coming down which will open the house up. Luckily the wall isn't supporting anything.

It took a while to feel clean in the shower after that lot.

Another 'Starbucks' afternoon
Hoping to get into a decent car tomorrow afternoon. Turns out one thing I did wrong was not to establish any credit when I came to Canada so I have nothing - good or bad. So a loan is out of the picture.

Give it time and there will be a credit rating eventually. For now I guess applying for a credit card and using it may help? Cars cost a lot and it rains a lot where you are so I guess a bicycle will not do nor a motorcycle maybe uber or a taxi? or is that too expensive?

I've been on public transit/bus so long I could spit (CH friendly language, kids! :) )...
Anyway, I may have found something at a local dealership I can get for cash. I'm hoping so. I'll know tomorrow. It's an "as is" deal, but there've been no accidents on record with it. The model is fairly reliable, low km, all that jazz.

I do need to apply for a credit card, though, and start making some charges, paying it off at the end of the month and such.

Oh yes in Canada you need a credit card. My mom went there with my brother and here you dont need that so they forgot. They couldnt get a taxi, nothing, had to walk through the ice cold to the church. She got very sick and ever since shakes dunno how you call that sickness. Welcome to Canada.

Yes! One good card, use and pay off. That will help you out a lot for your credit score. When I was in high school I worked for a department store and the ladies in the office told me to get a card right away because I'd be approved and build up my credit. They were so right!! It was the best advice. Just know your limit :)

What model is the car you're looking at?

I should have become a nurse. I'm so empathetic. First Snerf was sick. I said I always stuck a toothbrush with toothpaste in my nose, so he did that. Worked miracles. Now I spouted some lemon stuff in fluffs nose. The vet on internet said it was good. He screamed so loud.
Oops sorry Fluff.

I was reading up on that stuff and its always good to look at the other ppls comments column, they often are a better place to get advice or second opinions.
A fish-monger will tell you his fish is always fresh.
And ppl often say, 'THIS Doctor is THE BEST!'
But somewhere out there is one that ain't so great!
It's often good to get an idea what others think, and you dont want to ask the bishops if the pope is infallible. Ask others, but IF they allow for honesty and answers. There's alot of censorship of truth, and falsehood out there these days, even in health care, and vet care, and all kinds of care.
