Finished straining off another batch of banana wine after pulp fermenting for a few days - strain then added to a closed fermenter for secondary fermentation.

I had an initial taste test. It's going to be a tasty wine. 10 litres in secondary fermentation units and another 10 litres pulp fermenting. 20 litres when it's all finished - all for under $10.

In addition, another 4 litres I made with bananas I had powdered to store months ago + sugar syrup. Taste tested that...tasty and strong. Time to stop fermentation of those.

Other than that, playing lots of Bach, watching my plants grow and seeing garlic sprout larger and larger over the week.

Did you get your D key fixed yet? When do we get a new video of your music?

Found out earlier that a Crock Pot I bought off a Facebook bidding site had a plug that appeared to have been in an outlet fire - it was all black. :(
Didn't see that when I picked it up. Was looking forward to a nice meal tonight. I can still pan cook it, but not what I had in mind.

I prefer microwave ovens for cooking slowly. Less difficult to clean up after its finished.

That has been fixed for over a month now, along with a few other minor things, and piano tuned. One of the few smart things I did with a portion of my savings.

As for music video - there's one in the works - but I've hit a wall with it. As stated a few times - I've been playing a lot of Bach lately. It's actually been needed because it's made me realize I've gotten a little sloppy and lazy in my practice - and the left hand needed more challenges.

Except for you and a few others, they hardly get any likes though (or even views for the older ones). I wonder at that, especially because one has over 150 views. I had some sock contact me ages ago saying he saw a video of mine hosted on a video site ( a dedicated video site, not youtube or facebook) said I had talent and should use it to make money - but he didn't like the video.

I am learning a new scripting language because my hexchat IRC client doesn't work reliably under windows 7. I decided to move to jIRCii and it uses a scripting language invented by jIRCii's author. The language is called "Sleep". It's a variant of Perl that runs in the Java language environment. I know that some of what I just wrote is jargon from the programming world but take my word for it that learning Sleep is not very hard but also not trivially easy. Anyway I have written a few little commands to make using my jIRCii client easier. Here is one of them:
alias m {
call("/me $1-")
}

It allows me to use /m when I want to send a message to a channel as an action.

Having a good time with my 5 yr old grandaughter. She was still going late last night so she'll prolly be sleeping for awhile yet. It's just past 5 am now. Lots of snow so maybe we'll be out building snowmens.

:rolleyes: really.. :lol:

I can see the point of being careful about what you watch but it always seems that other things - such as what one does, says, approves of, participates in - ought to be given a high priority and then the things one watches will slide into their proper place.

I've been doing a clean up on my desk and discovered an old SIM (now useless) and a very old USB WiFi stick that boasts 58 Mbps!! :)

Brought the kids to their dad at 3 o'clock, first they had a bath and we played outside. They have been here from wednesday until today. They had vacation from school. I came home and went to bed and slept the whole day. I was a bit tired.

Just saw a question from someone on internet. She had a rabbit and gave him a stuffed penguin as a companion. First it went well but now he was grumpy and nasty to the stuffed penguin. She said: could it be he's grumpy because the stuffed penguin doesn't like him back?
Answer from someone:
No impossible, rabbits don't have emotions and don't get grumpy. Stuffed penguins on the other hand... but your question wasn't about that.
