So they use a lap pool and pray they don't fall through the holes in the water?

No. The priest prays and so does the catechumen. The holy water is applied in baptism. So is chrism oil. Then the newly baptised is confirmed and chrism oil is applied again.

How long do you keep em on the grill before you flip em over?
Is the chrism oil healthier than canola?

Nobody is flipped. The questions and exorcism are ancient parts of the liturgy, possibly from the second century AD but translated into English.

I think that chrism oil is olive oil.

We have a woman in Holland, she used to be very famous here. She'd heal ppl w witchcraft and ppl came from all over the country to go to her meetings. But a catholic priest wrote bad things about her, so she was mad and went to visit him. He was in a house w a very low door, so in order to come in you had to bow. So she bowed to come in, told him she wasn't happy w what he had said about her. He says: Hey I can pray for you if you want to, set you free from these demons.
She ran out of his house as fast as she could and forgot the doorpost, so she bumped real hard w her head to the doorpost LOL.

No she's still doing her occult business. Makes her good money. We started a church in that place where she used to have her meetings, but she moved away and a few years later we went there. Guess what? 50 meter from our building she rents one and comes back to hold her meetings. Someone said to us: She's in your neighbourhood. You must get her saved. I was like: do it yourself, good luck. I hope she gets saved some day.

A Savior saves, not a prayer. Any prayer that comes is after faith is already given.

Amen to that. It is God Himself Who graces us with faith the pray to begin with. The only " sinner's prayer" that counts is a prayer of Confession, followed by the words of Absolution given by God through the mouth of one of His pastors.

It would be better to just say, "It is God Himself who graces us with faith," and leave it at that.
Confession, repentance, etc., come after God has chosen to make us alive in Christ. Those are the beginnings in a long process of sanctification over our lifetime.

I think so.

There are many, many people who have salvation all turned around and mixed up.

The basic teaching is that humans have free-will. With this free-will humans rationally review the various types of belief systems available to them and after some deep soul searching or after an emotional experience they choose to place their faith in the God of the Bible. They are taught (and believe) that the faith they have generated from within their own soul has chosen the God of the Bible, with a bit of help from the Holy Spirit.

The Bible, however, does not teach that at all. The Bible (see Ephesians 2:1-10) teaches that humans are spiritually dead. Have you ever seen a dead man choose to do anything? Being spiritually dead, Romans 3 tells us that no one ever seeks God. Not even one.
But, God being rich in mercy chooses whom he wills to spiritually raise them to life. John 3 tells us God conceives his Spirit in us (see being born again with Nicodemus) and gives us spiritual life.
After God has done that which no man can do, by his grace (God giving us what we don't deserve), God then chooses to give us the gift of faith so we can believe that which God has already done.

This means that God does it all. He does this so that we can have no cause to boast about anything we have done.

So, many people who say they have said the sinners prayer are likely not saved. They look at Christian culture or a genuine child of God and they attempt to imitate that which they observe. They try to generate their own self-serving faith (imitation faith) and try to live a good life all the while being dead in their trespasses and sins. They go to church, they serve in the congregation, they imitate others in the Christian culture and give praises to God, but they are spiritually dead. Then...then comes trial and tribulation. Their self-created faith is tested and they start to waver. They try harder. They work up a frenzy and go to church more often. They work hard to create a holy experience with God and start thinking God has left them. (They have no clue that God had never made them spiritually alive) They begin to quit. They stop attending church. They stop expending energy to try manufacturer faith. They are empty. They walk away disappointed and turn to other gods or become an atheist in defiance.
This all happens because someone has shared the heresy of the sinners prayer by teaching a free-will gospel that is contrary to the Bible, which tells us over and over that God chooses to save sinners by his will, by his grace. God chooses whom he wishes to adopt, apart from any action we do. God and God alone saves.
Yes, we can pray. We can plead with God. We can confess sins. But, unless God says "___________ come forth" we will never come to God.

As Christians we are ambassadors of Jesus Kingdom. Our message to a rebel world is a message of reconciliation to God through the atoning work of Jesus on the cross. That message will only be heard and acted upon by those whom God chooses to bring to life. We can never create some "technique" to convince a person's mind to believe. We are just the spokesperson who shouts out "Be reconciled with the King before judgment falls." The King is the one who will give ears to hear and eyes to see, according to his will, not by our own will.

So...yes...this is necessary.

I do not think it is necessary to mock anybody's Christian faith tradition but I do think that when it is done as mean spirited mockery it tells the whole world what spirit is at work in the mocker.

This God chooses, you do nothing thing comes from Calvin. Since he killed Servettus I take nothing he said serious. So many Dutch ex christian atheists because of some Calvin saying God chooses and just wait til He chooses you. You never know if youre saved. Thank God for the pentecostals. Yes some say a prayer like a parrot and arent saved if they dont teach em repentance. Still thank God for the sinner's prayer. He used it to get many to heaven.

fwiw, the "Sinner's Prayer" baffles me to no end. I see really no basis for it, and it could be a false hope for whomever may hope in it. Entire programs (hello 'Alpha'...) have been designed around it. I'd first heard of it years ago when I was in the Pentecostal church. That denomination did not use it (of course, it was UPC, so they erred on many things), but taught the regenerative process of the Holy Spirit in every aspect of saving man - the utter inability of man to save himself. And I appreciate, at least, that they got right.

But I'm also of the opinion that those that have the Liturgy and Sacraments of the church are all the better for it.

When it's not biblical I sense the spirit of Elijah on Mt Carmel.
Review your traditions because many are not sound doctrine.

It comes from scripture. Not once have I referenced Calvin. Instead I have pointed to scripture, scripture, scripture. Why would you hate God's word and cling to worldly teachings not found in scripture?
Even your reasoning given for disliking Calvin is worldly and unbiblical.
You are showing, time and time again that you couldn't care less about the Bible, but instead care about your feelings and emotions. Such an attitude is ungodly and worldly. You should be ashamed.
