If people who vote republican are worried that H R Clinton is corrupt or incompetent then why didn't they choose a candidate who was not corrupt and who was competent instead of the error prone dishonest candidate that they did choose?

Because God sent him and they pray for him. He is a God sent. Saw it on Facebook, just unbelievable.
Even a Dutch preacher, telling people Trump is so amazing. Ehmm deception or something? He can talk nice and he has charisma.

A preacher saying that? Makes one wonder what morals he has.

A lot of preachers. Oh yes well, his language, come on, he's a baby christian they say. That Dutch preacher lives in America now I think. Got influenced too by this nonsense, there are prophecies about him, meetings with pastors who pray for him and lay on hands.

When I look at the candidates I see both as being sinful human beings with many faults but then I look again to see which one would benefit the country more. I think Clinton looks more to her own interests than Trump does. Plus I'm highly against abortion since the majority of abortions are for the convenience of the "mother". I put mother in quotes because the woman is indeed a mother who kills her child.

Why Trump got to the top of the pack given the other dozen or more candidates is beyond me.

That said a lot of the revelations about Trump have only recently surfaced, and much of it appears to be little more than testosterone fuelled bluster and allegations that are suspicious in their timing. It's not as if HRC having a whiff of corruption around her is a new thing - that goes back to before Bill was President.

I don't want to see Trump in the Oval Office but I'd rather see President Donald Trump than President Hillary Clinton.

I can't help wondering that, if Trump were interested in nothing more than Trump, why he would leave his multibillion dollar businesses for a job that pays barely half a million.

I won't argue that some of his business practises appear to be downright unethical but he has experience of running a business, of meeting payroll, of hiring and firing. Clinton appears to be a career politician and frankly the fewer of those we have (on any side) the better.

Oh, geez, you have got to be kidding!! Do you want to see WWIII and nuclear war starting, no respect for women because of his example as a leader? He has no respect for many cultures and could cause a racial war, too. He is the wrong choice for candidate. Are you okay? I really have a hard time believing that a sensible person like you would vote for him.

Hillary is a compassionate woman who cares about people. She has paid for her mistakes and taken a public beating for them like no one else has. She apologized. She has the maturity, wisdom and experience to be the next president.:stars:

It's lovely to be forgiving (in the church) but the apostle warns against putting a novice in high office (within the church) and against appointing a man who has not managed his family well (how many wives?) and who has no scandal attached to himself (that bus recording is a scandal as is the tax dodging). How did the Republicans not know of all the scandals before they chose Donald Trump as their Candidate? His public statements are recorded on TV and Audio media, surely they were examined in the vetting process before he was selected as candidate?

I agree!

Plus I see Trump as a family man who really does care about his kids and I think he is at an age where he wants his country to be better for THEM! If no one else can do it, Dad can right? That's kind of an impression I get from him. He's sick of how things are and he knows how to improve it so he might as well be the one.

Reagan was a womanizer and Americans loved him. We can't look at that since Hillary cheated on her husband while he was in office according to the gossip.

We need to look at how they would run the country. Do you really think Trump would set off nuclear devices and risk harming his own family? I don't. He knows how to scare people and other country's leaders so they don't walk all over him. We need a strong, assertive person in office.

Did Hillary Clinton cheat on her husband? The news reports I've see say it was Bill who did the cheating and he is not running for president in this election.

What we dont need is a wild man that is easily offended and thinks that Russia is our friend and we definitely dont need a man that has no consideration for anyone else and insults them at every turn. Says a lot about how his diplomacy will be. We also do not need someone threatening to use nukes first. This man is a train wreck and I have yet to hear his policies such as what will he replace Obabacare with? What about the millions insured under that? Then lets talk jobs and trade deals, what is his plan? Immigration? Again what does he propose iother than a wall that the Mexicans absolutely will not pay for?

I think we DO need Russia as our friend. Do you remember how Reagan won the Cold War?

Obamacare is a failure. Plans don't have doctors that are nearby for people, it's costly and will increase in cost in 2017. Something else needs to be done for this country. Right now Obamacare isn't helping as much as they want you to believe. It's suffocating people instead.

What I think is that health care is way out of hand and to expensive. I dont think a person should go broke getting well and I also do not think thta medical care should be limited to certain groups or made so expensive that most cant afford it, I dont love Obamacare but I do want to know what will take its place and what will they do about the costs

Oh, geez, you have got to be kidding!!

Why have I got to be kidding?

Do you want to see WWIII and nuclear war starting, no respect for women because of his example as a leader?

With respect Ruth, this line of reasoning is just silly. To assume that Trump will start WW3 suggests he wants to see more or less the annihilation of the human race. Mutually Assured Destruction pretty much guarantees that the major nuclear powers (think NATO, Russia etc) aren't going to fire first because they know the counterstrike would wipe them out.

This whole "no respect for women" seems way overblown as far as I can see. Yes, he said some things that were grossly inappropriate but frankly you'd probably struggle to find anyone who hadn't said anything they later regretted. And then of course are the women who were apparently assaulted by him and apparently forgot all about it until a month before the election.

He has no respect for many cultures and could cause a racial war, too.

Perhaps, but frankly as far as I can see race relations in the US are the worst they have been in a long time and under a black President. I'd rather kick the applecart than vote for four more years of the same.

He is the wrong choice for candidate. Are you okay? I really have a hard time believing that a sensible person like you would vote for him.

With respect, comments like this highlight the yawning divide in politics very nicely. Do you really struggle to see that someone sensible might disagree with you? Do you have any idea just how divisive a comment like that, in itself, sounds? The suggestion that nobody with any sense could possibly take a different viewpoint is itself extremely exclusive, which is ironic given your earlier comments about lacking respect for other people.

Hillary is a compassionate woman who cares about people.

I remain unconvinced Hillary cares about anyone except Hillary. Look at just some of what Wikileaks has released and it appears her only concern is getting into power. It's pretty much accepted that the internal DNC elections were rigged to keep Bernie Sanders out of the running, which in itself doesn't paint a picture of an honest candidate.

And then...

She has paid for her mistakes and taken a public beating for them like no one else has.

Except she hasn't paid for her mistakes, she's fluffed and stalled, she's asked "what difference does it make?". Had you or I been "grossly negligent" with state secrets we'd most likely be in jail. If we were lucky we'd get away with having our security clearance revoked. Now she's under a re-opened investigation from the FBI, apparently due to them finding more emails while investigating the husband of her close aide who had allegedly been sending "sexts" to an underage girl. Just how much of this can people attribute to "Republican mud-slinging" without also wondering how much of the media coverage of Donald Trump is "Democrat mud-slinging"?

She apologized.

Not even close to enough if even some of the allegations are true. If you or I are caught doing wrong we get punished, and merely saying sorry just doesn't cut it. Given the way things come to light in dribs and drabs with her I have to wonder whether she's sorry for what she did or merely sorry that she got caught.

She has the maturity, wisdom and experience to be the next president.:stars:

The wisdom to be the next president? A person who lacked the wisdom to realise her private email server was a really bad idea? A person who doesn't seem to think an FBI investigation into her affairs warrants even stepping back from such a high-profile position even if only for as long as it takes to clear her name? A person who doesn't seem worried, even assuming she had no involvement at all in the process, that she could only get elected by conspiring to keep her opponent for the nomination out through whatever means it took? A person who didn't see any problem with letting foreign nations (who treat women as second-class citizens) donate millions to her foundation while in high office? If this is wisdom I shudder to think what folly looks like.

Healthcare is silly at the moment but Obamacare seems to have done little more than take a bad situation and make it worse.

From the figures I've personally seen it has done little more than pile requirements onto policies to make them "qualifying", cause the price to more than double in three years (with 40-50% increases projected for 2017) and then throw taxpayer money at it to bring the premiums down again. What's so great about a system that drives prices up and then throws public money at it to subsidize the prices for some? It's little more than diverting taxes into the pockets of insurance companies.
