It may become part of the commercialisation of religion - after all Christmas and Easter are largely seen as commercial holidays in much of the world.

Do you guys think it's sacrilegious? As an artist and reading that this is an art exhibit, I don't take offense to it. There is also mention that the dolls have been produced for play as well throughout the world, did I read that correctly? Or was it just SOME of the dolls were produced?

It appears to be controversial.

I think that's most of the objection behind this, but it's not isolated to Christianity. I did notice that muhammad is not represented. Apparently, representing Christ will not get you killed.

Well, imho if one religious figure is forbidden to be represented then all should be forbidden.

Possibly, but I think the artist (?) had the offense of all Muslims in mind when skipping over muhammad

Bumping up an old thread.

I did some searching and the exhibit was pulled because the artists had gotten death threats. Isn't that typical to treat Christians like that?

I saw in one of the pics that Jesus is on the cross. Look at this pic...it looks like he's a pirate or something!

One evangelist preached to his stuffed animals as a 6 year old.

I got tired of thinking of new threads that not many reply to. So I'm digging up old ones in hopes that they get new replies.
