Chances are that most readers here in Christianity Haven do not worry too much about how Latin was pronounced by Julius Caesar but there is an interesting short video that discusses it. I enjoyed watching it.

Yes, very fun videō. I'm not convinced, though. Back in Houston when I was teaching at a classical Christian school, the Latin teacher, who had a master's degree in classics, admitted that we don't really know how they pronounced it. Classical Latin pronunciation is a great guess, but that's the best we have.

Classical Latin is perfectly fine for reading the ancient classics, but it sounds horrible when sung. Then it's ecclesiastical all the way.
