These are all nice thoughts, but Matthew 3 doesn't teach it. The context is right in front of you. No need to make up anything that isn't there. Let Acts 2 speak for itself.

You better not go back and read the OT verses quoted in Hebrews in their original context. If you have problems with my pointing out typologies, the writer of Hebrews will cause you fits. :)

The book of Hebrews purpose is entirely different than Matthew. In Matthew 3 Jesus is being very clear. Why someone would intentionally twist what he said is interesting, however.
