I agree with the point about the Eastern Orthodox, Anglican, and Lutheran churches. I think, if given a choice, I'd be drawn a bit more to a conservative Anglican church - none of which exist around me. There's a congregation of about 10 or so members about an hour away (or more). Other Anglican churches here are quite liberal - more than I am comfortable with. Unfortunately, the Lutheran church where I attend (LCC/LCMS) is fairly 'modern', having given up most of the liturgy to attract young families. Imo, there's no better reason to retain the liturgy, but they didn't ask me. If I want a true liturgical Lutheran service, I'd be looking at about an hour's drive.
If liturgical churches relied upon Sola Scriptura rather than traditions of the denomination, I might find it more beneficial. As it is the congregants can go through the liturgy with no need to ever read their Bible or question the teachings of the denomination. There is no iron sharpening iron.

I say praise God! I see a bright young lady addressing her life's struggles in a very positive way. Say's actually just chronicling many of our own spiritual journeys. Theology is a huge subject and it takes time to come to full maturity, 'what ever that is' but she is on the right path and given time, where ever she ends up, if she keeps up her studies, she could eventually give us all a run for our money on a discussion forum such as we have here at CH. The discrepancies she's pointing out between Catholicism and Evangelicalism are the same statements we Lutherans make and if you'll notice she pointed out there were liturgical evangelicals which she didn't know a lot about and wasn't including them/us in her assessment.
If she relies upon inductive Bible study and thus learns to discern truth from traditional fiction, that will be good. However, the Roman church frowns on inductive Bible study because it reveals the gaping holes in church dogma.

I am not particularly impressed by this young woman, but one thing is evident. Although she speaks of Evangelicals and Protestants as though she knows the soul of each of them, she does not. But it is worse than that. She has a Churches of Christ frame of reference for everything, and this church that professes to be non-denominational because it is uniquely shallow has not prepared her at all for making judgments about either Protestantism or Catholicism.
