Most things that are being changed in modern times do have scriptural back up but it's that people refuse to "see" it any more since they say that it's no longer relevant to the times.

Yes, like so many refuse to see (nowadays) that eldership was for the husband of one wife rather than for men and women.

I agree with the foundation to keep us from going adrift, so patience and long suffering for those under afflictions of the flesh but the anchor that we have in this foundation should not be moved. As a female, I struggled with women's ministry, then the Lord revealed something about the nature of men and the need to lead in more ways than just leading itself, then I have been working on the helpmeet that need.

Sure, I won't dispute that many things do have a Scriptural basis. It's just that when this is the case it needs to be presented that the reason for continuing to do it is Scriptural mandate rather than human tradition.

Would you mind elaborating on that? I've often found it interesting that, as a man, I have no specific issue with women in leadership and I think every single person I have known who is opposed to female ministers have been women.
