Easter and Christmas are ABOUT Christ, but we aren't supposed to even say so? Ridiculous.

Its' a balancing act, Lamb. (Or its' supposed to be.)

The Constitution protects religious liberty in two ways: (1) by allowing individuals the right to worship/not worship the god(s/esses) one wishes to worship. The Constitution, however, prohibits government from either imposing or favoring one religion over another.

In this situation, you have the AgSec, Brooke Rollins, using government resources to send emails to AgDept. employees with overtly religious messaging in them; that's a direct shot at the Establishment Clause. Now, it'd be one thing if she were to send a message on either holiday wishing AgDept. workers a Merry Christimas/Happy Holidays/Happy Easter, etc., et.al.

It is quite another for her to use her position to put the government's thumb on the scale one way or another; as Christ reminded the Pharisees, "Render unto Caesar what is his and render unto God what is His."
