Hi CassiaHi ~Bill~
Just going back to my research books and taking it easy today ... have a great day ya\ll
What kind of research books?
I have so many I really should get rid of. Many times I'd be going through this or that, and would pick up a book to address the situation, or help me get a better perspective on what the bible says on it, only to find I got a chapter or two into it and either got my answer or just didnt finish reading. Many half-read books are collecting dust, I really should give them to someone(s) who can benefit by them.I'm researching discipleship right now ... books include
The cost of discipleship ~ dietrich bonhoeffer
What Jesus is all about ~ henrietta mears
parables of Jesus ~ james montgomery boice
god's method with man ~ g campbell morgan
and the mind of the master ~ robert e coleman
Then I have a bunch of books on oerder for a complete bible commentary by a woman who I can't remember her name just now.
I spend a lot on books but it fills the time
Somehow I missed this post. Sorry about that. I have lots of books like that too, with bookmarks at the place that I left off. I usually begin a subject from a bibliography from the back of a book and am off on another field of study. Altho I don't think I leave a subject unexplored before going on to the next, hence the book giveaway would be handy. I still have 5 boxes of my brother's theology books in storage to go thruI have so many I really should get rid of. Around 2000 AD I gave away most of my Presbyterian & Reformed books. They didn't reflect my beliefs so I stopped using them. I had a surprising number. I gave them to Westminster Presbyterian Church theological library. It expanded their library by about 20%. They were appreciative.
Mine seem to run the gamut. A few very old, some brand new. Mostly really good teachers, though.Actually all of his books were from secondhand stores. A lot of mine are but they're from the 1800's-1960 rarely any books above that. Some really good finds![]()
