Lamm, I have exegeted each of these verses as well as the passages surrounding them (context is important). At this point it seems that you are intent upon misusing scripture to make an invalid point. It must be noted that according to your position we can be assured that the repentant thief on the cross went to hell because he wasn't baptized. That is the conclusion based upon your position of water baptism. I know your church dogma will not allow you to uncloud your mind. I leave you to your bewilderment as to how you are mistaken.

I have actually gone through the passages and exegeted them. Have you?
In a number of your verses, water is not mentioned with the Greek word, baptizo. The Greek word means to immerse or dip. In a number of those passages the author is referring to being immersed into Christ...not into water. The Holy Spirit takes the newly regenerated sinner and immerses her/him into Christ Jesus. It is that immersion that is effectual. Water is not mentioned, nor is it needed as a magic source of action.
Therefore, the thief on the cross was baptized into Christ, by the Holy Spirit...no water needed...and the thief is in heaven with Christ Jesus today. So, the thief is important in this discussion and is equally relevant to this topic.
Second, we both agree that God is the giver of faith, solely by his gracious choice to grant a person faith. We both agree that God can do this at any time. The children who die in the womb without being water baptized may still graciously be immersed into Christ by the Holy Spirit and redeemed. We only have a handful of verses to make the case, but a biblical case can be made.
Where we differ is that you make water a magic potion in order that baptism into Christ be effectual. I state that baptism is effectually done by the Spirit of God and the immersion the Spirit does is not into water...it is into Christ Jesus. We are immersed. We don't come out of that immersion. We remain forever immersed into Christ by the gracious favor of God, the Holy Spirit. That is one of the roles of the Holy Spirit.
So...the ceremony of water baptism is similar to the ceremony of Passover. It remembers and shouts out to all observers that God has done a regenerative work of redemption and the Spirit of God has immersed us into Christ Jesus.
What I share is not something I learned as dogma in a church. It is something that the very verses you quoted shout out to the reader. What I do not do, which you do, is I do not force water before the word baptism everytime I read the word in the Bible. I let the context determine what the object of baptism is being immersed into.

I know the thief on the cross was no baby, yet he spent his whole life without being baptised, all he did was repent even though he was kind of incapable of stealing at that moment, but he repented, and Jesus told him that he would go to paradise.

The thief had faith. We are saved by grace through faith. Baptism gives faith...so again, we're saved by grace through faith.

None of the verses of Scripture shows infants being baptized. They are symbolic and refer to believers’ baptism.
