Ask God what is he sent you and you will find the secret of freewill and see things in Jesus view in how perfect will in God you have freewill if your the person that comes close to be like Jesus , he will reveal to you why he sent you and give you the powers to get to heaven, to being preisdent to find true love, to be like Jesus and love all like he does and show that secret he gives us all about him and do the thing he wanted you to find. And go thru all probablities to get there and find the things he wanted you showing that Huldah mistake and Moses mistake of hitting the rock and in error of man destiny can be changed but thru love and prayer to him and finding true love finding his secret of why he sent you, and finding the real things of the bible perhaps is why he sent you, so you can find the real things of the bible and help the world.

See that the error of Moses and huldah shows by example that destiny can go other way and for a purpose he has in secret and thru he's test he can reveal secrets their and showed us Moses error was left to show we can do the opposite and change the destiny by love and faith we could change error in love and it can go into actions in the future that will change histroy and

we can move destiny not in error like moses but love can change it ? Yes it is possible even though you cannot understand that something I do understand of how the universe and possibilities can change and we can change things for good and not make the mistake like moses did and huldah and get more people saved and have more people been baptized yes. Their are exception and God has given us exceptions that destiny can be changed and that determinism by his will can exist without him be having control all over the universe.

This is the CHRISTIAN THEOLOGY section of CH. Specifically for discussions of Christian theology. It's not the philosophy section (is there one?).

In the past 500 years or so, there has been a debate in Christian theology. It's critical and necessary to note that this debate is NOT philosophical (it has nothing to do with the Greek philosophy of determinism) but is limited to one individual issue: it's laser focused on ONE thing - personal justification, that change from spiritual death to life, that change from being a child of Satan to a child of God. Some (especially post-Vatican II Catholics) call this "initial justification", some Protestants (especially "Evangelicals") call this "born again." It does NOT involve sanctification - that process of growing in holiness, love and obedience, growing and maturing as a child of God. It is instead focused on BECOMING a child of God, not GROWING as a child of God.

It has nothing to do with whether God determined that I have toast for breakfast this morning rather than oatmeal or eggs. It has nothing to do with how things were before the Fall in Genesis 3. It has nothing to do with our Christian lives. It has to do with BECOMING a child of God, BECOMING spiritually alive.

SOME argue that personal and initial justification is SYNERGISTIC - God does HIS part in this (the part that actually doesn't save anyone but rather makes salvation POSSIBLE for us to accomplish) and we do OUR part (the part that actually saves). And this part that WE do often involves a "free choice" Others insist that this initial, personal justification is MONERGISTIC - that Jesus is the Savior and Jesus does the saving, that faith is not something self creates and gives to self but that it is something God gives. Thus the debate. Orthodox, Catholic, Lutherans, Calvinists/Reformed, Anglicans are all monergistic. Methodists, most American "Evangelicals" and the cults tend to be synergistic but there are exceptions.

I hope this helps.

It helps to discuss the promblem of sin and salvation what your aiming but i'm talking about freewill before our creation because were past that and now talking about sin and freedom of sin into beinga child of God but growth and becoming is part of growth there. You don't know all the areas of freewill Josiah, I reccomend you read this again since you are only talking one part.

There is more freewill in it's different stages and you only get growth and becoming child of God. There is Why, Satan rebbelion ? Which proves freewill existed and it' philosophy is not comprehended and Freewill God had that he gave us and we have it small but still we can do some things and the freewill Adam had we can do also.

There is that and we can use freewill like god intended tell me Josiah do you know that freewill existed in Eden, before it, and we use it ?

Do you have freewill let me ask you and do agree determinism or don't believe in God's sovereignty that he put the path and you can change it ? Do you believe or you cannot change destiny ?

God has let paths be changed he has let us choose, ISrael and all of us were destined to be in sin forever because of the fall but thru Jesus we can change our path and be saved simple. But some people won't go there but continue that everything has been planned by God and even the small things are decided for us ! And say God is unfair, we cannot Judge but God decided for us to protect us for a reason.

Don't complicate yourself josiah be free of salvation and put things in God hands ask him to give you freewill under his wise wisdom and he chose the path becuase of the plan of God. Everything is connected in life and to find the secrets of freewill we will find the secret of Why, were here why God choose this for us and the purpose of why he sent us here. Know he's will and you will find what is the plan of God.

Funny funnies... but none of them have anything whatsoever to do with Christian theology - and this is the Christian Theology forum, not the humor forum.

And a matter of fact, it only encourages the bible believers to follow God's will and not there own, even the 'Lord's Prayer' tells us to seek God's will be done and not our own.

39 And He went a little beyond them, and fell on His face and prayed, saying, “My Father, if it is possible, let this cup pass from Me; yet not as I will, but as You will.”

Matthew 26:39

I will not post any cartoons ;D.

Is it so anyone can compare their freedom and ask if you.

But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.
And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth. (John 1:12-14)

Therefore said the disciples one to another, Hath any man brought him ought to eat?
Jesus saith unto them, My meat is to do the will of him that sent me, and to finish his work. (John 4:33-34)

And shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation.
I can of mine own self do nothing: as I hear, I judge: and my judgment is just; because I seek not mine own will, but the will of the Father which hath sent me.
If I bear witness of myself, my witness is not true. (John 5:29-31)

All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out.
For I came down from heaven, not to do mine own will, but the will of him that sent me.
And this is the Father's will which hath sent me, that of all which he hath given me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up again at the last day. (John 6:37-39)

And this is the Father's will which hath sent me, that of all which he hath given me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up again at the last day. And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day. The Jews then murmured at him, because he said, I am the bread which came down from heaven. (John 6:39-41)

We continue with freewill and lucifer if he had freewill but continuing on what freewill and here something very importnat if we had freewill.

If the word exist in the world there is the word in hebrew.

“Freedom of Choice;” a fundamental belief of the Jewish Religion. “Bechirah” means “choice;” “Chofshit” means “free.” The concept means that the human being is not forced to choose “good” or “evil,” but is free to choose between them. This is, of course, the most fundamental choice of all, the one which the Bible associates with the choice between “life” and “death,” for which the Bible recommends “Choose Life.” Or, as the Talmud teaches “Everything is in the hands of Heaven except the “fear of Heaven.”

The belief in free will (Hebrew: bechirah chofshit בחירה חפשית, bechirah בחירה) is axiomatic in Jewish thought, and is closely linked with the concept of reward and punishment, based on the Torah itself: "I [God] have set before you life and death, blessing and curse: therefore choose life" (Deuteronomy 30:19).

Free will is therefore discussed at length in Jewish philosophy, firstly as regards God's purpose in creation, and secondly as regards the closely related, resultant, paradox. The topic is also often discussed in connection with negative theology, divine simplicity and divine providence, as well as Jewish principles of faith in general.

God does give us a choice limited but we have limited freewill.

Also the word לִבְחוֹר

livkhór is ( To choose )

together with this word

חֵרוּת

( Freedom ) another word.

Freewill did existed and in Deutronomy 30:19 God did give a choice two but still he did. And life is a good choice a great choice. Is their more of freewill in Judaism ? Yes, there is more and more to come. The best is yet to come !

The answer to the OP's question is very... easy, and simple.

YES, God created us with free will.

He also... created all the angels, and even Lucifer with free will.

Why?

Simply because God wants our love, and it has to actually come from our 'own' choice to love Him, otherwise it is not authentic love.

Those who have children, image if your children could only love you if you FORCED them to love you, like they were robots. Would that be REAL love? No, of course not.

Our Heavenly Father feels the same way, He doesn't want robots that He makes to love Him.

And Lucifer, because he also was created with free will, chose to rebel against God, his coveting God's Throne for himself. And 1/3 of the angels rebelled with Lucifer, their making their own choice.

PREDESTINATION:
Where does the Biblical idea of Predestination come in then? for God's Word says we were called and chosen before the foundation of the world (Eph.1).

That... we will have to wait till Christ comes to properly understand that. We can speculate a thousand different ways about it, but that will not mean a correct answer.

We start from the beggining when Adam was giving the power to name the animals G-d gave him freewill to choose Genesis 2:20.
20 The man gave names to all livestock and to the birds of the heavens and to every beast of the field. But for Adam there was not found a helper fit for him.

Here G-d gives Adam gives him ability to think for himself and he decide the animals name.

There is difference from the freewill Hebrew people back in the days of Noah and Moses when the law was directed to G-d's people they had freewill to decide. Their decision is under the law because they did not know other religions or ways they were narrowminded but still the decision from good and evil existed. Did the errors of their fathers before them I mean the fall of Adam stopped them making decisions in their life. Israel did what they want based still of need of surviving. Killing, eating, proceating needs of humanity but no matter what the error of Adam did not take freewill from them.

Romans 7:19 For the good that I want, I do not do, but I practice the very evil that I do not want.”

Ezekiel 18:20 “The person who sins will die. The son will not bear the punishment for the father’s iniquity, nor will the father bear the punishment for the son’s iniquity; the righteousness of the righteous will be upon himself, and the wickedness of the wicked will be upon himself.”

Psalm 110:2 "Your people will volunteer freely in the day of Your power; In holy array, from the womb of the dawn, Your youth are to You as the dew."

From the day pagans evolved into modern world and establish their own way. Even thou they seperated from their pagan worhsip Rome forced them to mix their deities and influence with christianism and robbed the followers of Christ of Jesus and they painted him white. Named the G-d of Israel to Zeus and change their panteon.

Hebrew law or mosaic law reminds people to obey but G-d has taken prophets to save and do the will of G-d in wars, missions, and choosing good and evil. They break the law in disobeying G-d, prophets like Jeremiah who chose G-d disobey tradition and his father and told Israel their errors and love for the temple forgotten the temple inside they are made of. Kick Jeremiah out of their circle rejected from society he continued, we have Elijah who many don't talk about but he change the words of G-d and sentence Jezabel but G-d only wanted to punish Jezabel but Elijah added her family as punishment. G-d was angry at Elijah but forgave him. Still G-d's plan was only Jezabel but he made an exception for Elijah and freewill existed and changed yes G-d allows it.

People can change their course in life but what is the promblem from today. Is how the Greek way of thinking of liberalism was popular in the time of Jesus.

James 2:12 "So speak and so act as those who are to be judged by the law of liberty."

2 Corinthians 3:17 "Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty."

And Greeks influence the time of jesus that people like Luke wrote his book in the bible and later Catholic church not knowing fully Hebrew culture copied things from greeks and influence the bible. Remember they were not G-d's people but A country that stoled and wrote their intrepretation of G-d and took Jesus as an emblema that is not real.

Greek theology is freedom and rationalist thought, Hebrew people is Law and Relation with the one G-d. Greeks have influence the modernworld and gives them right, the western world copies Greek and Roman culture and their diffinity in their laws have given the modern topic freewill. So freewill clashes with freewill in the old times. That is why everything has to do with predestination, Calvanism go ahead and read see all our versions of choosing good and evil have consequences but still you decide your future.

There are 2 fields :indeterminism and determinism explain modern freewill and both give notion of control. Indeterminism means free acts are not determine in other words what you do with works does not foretold your future and the path you have chosen. Determinism says everything you do has already decided your future and you have no career. Nothing can change your destiny but G-d can.

Matthew 12:37 “For by your words you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned.”

God's general sovereignty- says god is in charge of everything but doesn't control everything
God's specific sovereignty- says that He not only has ordained everything, but He also controls everything.

Proverbs 16:9 “The mind of the man plans his way, but the Lord directs his steps.

Proverbs 3:5-6"Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight."
We are born slaves of Satan committed to our self-centeredness (Ephesians 2:1-3--sin); God makes believers adopted children of God willing to choose God's way in life (Ephesians 2:4-10--new life). I see no "free will" in the biblical scenario, though we are all responsible for our lives.
Eph 2:1 And you were dead in the trespasses and sins
Eph 2:2 in which you once walked, following the course of this world, following the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that is now at work in the sons of disobedience—
Eph 2:3 among whom we all once lived in the passions of our flesh, carrying out the desires of the body and the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, like the rest of mankind.
Eph 2:4 But God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which he loved us,
Eph 2:5 even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ—by grace you have been saved—
Eph 2:6 and raised us up with him and seated us with him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus,
Eph 2:7 so that in the coming ages he might show the immeasurable riches of his grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus.
Eph 2:8 For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God,
Eph 2:9 not a result of works, so that no one may boast.
Eph 2:10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.

Devalue victims: People may change how they view the people affected by their actions.

When human nature resorts to violence and wishes to obtain what it wants ? To know and to control. It becames self-destructive in nature. What are animals that self destructive.

Lemmings are an example that migration is needed and if they complete thier natural cycle or do not complete it they end their life no matter what.

All this comes from the time of Babylon this nature that if we do not understand something we destroy it. Babylon in it's time was by nature the strongest civilization and the other ones were destroyed any one who challenge babylon was punish. it was said that of all the cruelest civilzation Babylon was the cruelest and even crueller than egypt and rome. Babylon in it's time will crucify people on palm trees, will kill your child, and things I will not say. because it is nature of human surviving in this world.

Natural defense of evil man had and for them it natural to kill people. Here in the modern day we limited ourselves. But egyptians and romans killing and punishment in those days was light compare to what Babylonians do to each other.

Humans have not evolve because still we speak a language mixed by then and we do not speak how God made us. What does to person that you grab him don't teach to speak english and he speaks a language and teach him esperanto and not the whole language but quarter of it ? and you put him in the middle east back in the time of the bronze age and he multiply and he had a tribe but does not know who is why he speaks another language and finds other humans who don't speak like you. And you want to know why ? Why your here who did this to you and why you speak different and the only way to make people respect your land is with violence ?

There is a movie like that !

People do one thing throughout history and some of us have innate ability to have and some us don't have and worst some of us don't have but live it and don't realize it ?

Do they know their purpose in life ? Is lying the most simplest things humankind do to live their life and lying is useful we don't stop no more we don't realize we can't stop lying we can't detect it no matter we do then ?

Lying is going to be the subject of freewill. Lying exist is it good when Abraham lied to save his life ? Do we need to do neccesary evil and God let's it happen ? :O

Is lying part of your life ? Do you lie to obtain yourself what you want, what part of the human behavior is needed to lie ? To be a victime does this make you uncomfortable in your life ?

First apology to you do not want to pressure you. I respect your life if you lie in a marriage and lie to your husband and to your children and for you it's a white lie. Transparent lie of course. It's not important but some you cannot lie because it is a sin ? What is the nature of good and evil when you lie to do good ? Or lie to do evil ?

We see people that civilzation does something and it is wrong since the beggining of men that all civilzation does is copy each other is human concept if you look at all humanity and find the root it is about Babylon. We copy and we see other do things because we think it will help us to find solutions or get to our goals. Humans copy animals and you see hieroglyphs and chinese characters in their writtings their all animals.

One word can mean a thousands things, and A thousand things means one word.

What do human do all of it's history ? They want to be like animals to have thier power they wanna be someone else because they are afraid ! The behavior of humanity and I studied a lot of pyschology is that humans don't want to be themselves because themselves is weak for human recognition. Humans can't see themselves fixing promblems they have to someone else, they want to be someone else to fix their promblem.

They copy lies and that's what humans do lies ! You don't see in any place a powerful civilization without God's it's something we talk about it. All civilization have God's and idols is what is simple. Their idols are animals because they want to have powers like them a man cannot see himself as God it makes an animal or an image and wants to be that because he thinks he's promblem is solved and worst he thinks he came from such animal like the lion, eagle, or bear. And he must go thru a phase and will be reborn like the sun God and he will comeback as goat or a bear and be like his animal figure. No.

Their is no such thing.

They also went to believe in this

Reincarnation is the belief that a person's soul or spirit is reborn into a new body after death. It's also known as rebirth or transmigration.

Where is reincarnation believed?

  • Hinduism: A core tenet of Hinduism, reincarnation is also known as the transmigration of souls.

  • Buddhism: A key component of Buddhism, reincarnation explains the cycle of life, death, and rebirth.
Why do people believe in animals in their mythology, why want to be someone else to fix your promblems ? People want easy or simple things it's because humans are confused and they don't know who they are ? They live lies and do we do the same today ? People want to be a car, want to be a hollywood actor , they wan and want !

They don't know who they are that's humanity wants because it wants lie and copies other because lying give you idea that you can have what you want !

What about truth does it give you what you want ? Do you have truth in your life and you have a good relationship with your husband or wife ? This are important things do you have truth that you know and your not animal or car a or another superheroe you copy in your day ?

Guess what do you have God's truth and you realize you don't want to be someone else you want to be who you are and it works ? You found yourself and you feel good you pass your tests that you have an answer in life and it works for you and you don't lie ?

Proverbs 3:5-6"Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight."
Before God and His Word, there is no free will or such a thing.

When the Hebrews worshiped the golden calf, it was not a choice or free will(Deuteronomy 32:17-29); When they killed the true prophets of GOD, it was not a choice or free will. When they crucified JESUS, it was not a choice or free will; God had already shown Himself to them; they had already heard GOD speak to them; therefore, all their evil behavior through disobedience was not due a free will; this DEMONIC THEORY DOES NOT EXIST in the Word of GOD, in the things of GOD.

In fact, what happens in the acts practiced by men is not free will; being children of the Devil, the Devil has dominion over them,, so, on the other hand, there is no dominion of GOD in them. Therefore, there is no free will; either you are dominated by the power of the Devil and you will do the lusts of your father, the Devil, or you are guided by the Spirit of GOD, having Him as your Father, then you will do the works of GOD, and He will have dominion over you.

Genesis 3:22-> And the LORD God said, Behold, the man has become as one of us, to know good and evil:
Genesis 2:17-> And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, Of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it (i.e. you shall not eat OF MAN, thetree of good and evil), for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die. (Of course)

That is why I do not agree with the words of you, as written above, I do not eat of what you have said in all your posts above because it is MORTAL, it is of the tree of good and evil, I refuse and refute it. I only eat of the fruit of the tree of Life, JESUS is the tree of life: He said: John 6:48-51-> 48 I am the bread of life, 50 This is the bread that comes down from heaven, that a man may eat thereof and not die. 51 I am the living bread that came down from heaven: if any man eat of this bread, he shall live forever.

That said, what you are seling by to feed people by your messages above it is DEADLY, it kills the souls, them which are carried to and fro by every wind of doctrine, by the deceit-Genesis 3:1- of men, in cunning craftiness, in deceitful schemes.

Your thinking is from a human perspective, a STUMBLING BLOCK,->(Genesis 3:1 combined with John 3:31-36), not from GOD's perspective.

Be careful or else get ready

At seminary, I heard this explanation of "free will." In the beginning, God created humans to be completely dependent on him for our lives, and he also made us relatively independent of himself. However, when they ate the fruit, they became slaves to Satan choosing everything based on their sinful self-centeredness; thus, unbelievers have no free will. When we become believers, we want God's way but still have those sinful tendencies in us and have to resist them in the power of the Holy Spirit through Jesus' victory. Our free will is to choose between the sinful nature and our new nature based on the new birth. With God's work in us, we choose more and more for his will.
