Americans also work more hours than any other country, sometimes they don't have time to cook full meals so fast food franchises thrive in this American condition.
Btw I worked 12-13 hour days and a homemade sandwich hardly fuels an overworked body, in a 30 minute timeframe its convenient to buy a rushed meal in a rushed time. Storing weight is also a natural survival mechanism and has nothing to do with being lazy.
Now get in my belly!
Japanese people work very long hours and eat "fast foods" but their fast foods are not full of salt, sugar, and fat to make them "delicious and addictive"
