Does that mean I can gripe about either Trump or Biden for the next four years??? :)

Also, I actually got polled last week. It was interesting. I got a text message asking if I would be interested in a political poll. When I replied Yes I got a link to a website to answer the polling questions.

I have no plans to vote this year. I don't have a candidate that I feel good about

I understand, but it's possible to look at the issue this way--

The two candidates have, at one time or another, been in charge of the country for four consecutive years. Which scenario would you feel most comfortable with during the next four years, assuming that each man's policies, etc. were to be extended?

A. USA involved in no wars
inflation low
a vice-president qualified to take over if the president were to die, etc.
energy costs and medical costs lower
immigration much more controlled
less violent crime

B. more and more involvement in overseas wars
high inflation, still not under control
rising energy costs and housing shortages
Kamala Harris becoming president some time before 2029
an open border and unprecedented, unregulated immigration from all over the world
rising social violence and divisiveness

tango

... and you shall live ...

Personally I regard voting as saying "Candidate A is preferable to Candidate B" rather than "I really want Candidate A to be in charge". If I really struggle to like either candidate I'd still try to figure which one I'd rather have in office, even if the honest answer is neither of them.

Sometimes it feels like the equivalent of a choice between a broken leg and a heart attack - given a free choice I'd go for neither of them but if I had to pick I'd take the broken leg. Since I'll be getting one of them based on how the overall vote goes, it makes sense to add a vote to the pile I'd prefer.

The rematch is inevitable, but the outcome is uncertain. Let's just hope that it's going to be a peaceful election.
