Biden and Trump both die of natural causes before the election. What happens?

I've actually wondered about this. I'm not sure what would happen if it's on election night, does anyone know the law?

My guess would be the winner's VP would be sworn in as president and I suppose that person would then choose someone to be their VP. You have to remember that a presidential election is not the election of one person but two.

Assuming that it happens very shortly before election day or on election day as Lamb suggested, Kamala becomes President and the Electors (members of the Electoral College) in each state cast their votes for whomever they choose to be the next president (and likewise for VP). If there isn't a majority for any particular person, it goes to the House of Representatives to decide.

(or so I think without looking it up)_

... and remember that the decision of who will be president is not decided on election day. It happens some weeks later when the Electoral College votes.

I agree that IF Biden/Harris wins on election day and Biden dies the day after that, his Electoral delegates will vote for the ticket which makes Harris our next president.

The Vice-Presidential nomination often is a matter of ticket-balancing, of countering some weakness in the Presidential nominee, or is made in order to appeal to some special group of voters. It's rarely someone who was the second choice for President in the Party's nominating convention.

If the death in this case occurs prior to the Electoral College meeting, all bets are off. As a result, the Electoral College could very well choose whomever their Party really would prefer as President -- most likely not Harris in this case -- there being no longer any issue about the Electors being expected to vote in accordance with the choice of the people at the polls.
