Perhaps, but if we think of God as one who sees the future as well as the past and the present I'm sure he would have known that Israel would be recreated as a nation and would see the times when oil was referred to as "black gold".

Imagine... up to this point 35 feet deep oil reserve was considered the largest but this find is 350 feet deep. They are thinking it will produce 1000's of barrels a day. Their only concern now is how much refining will it need. Will it be as pure as Saudi Arabia oil which needs little refining.

I believe it may. But we did see Saddam hurt the oil by setting wells on fire. I think Kaddafi did that too.

That is an interesting thought. I have no idea whether there's any geological merit in it, but it's interesting nonetheless

It could be that some oil wells in the other Middle Eastern countries will begin to run dry, and then they say Israel tapped their wells.But the hook will be set into Gog's jaw. Let us not forget that.
