I didn't listen to my initial instinct this morning!! And I paid for it by getting lost.

My gut told me to not go try out a new trail this morning. I even posted in the women's private chat to ValleyGal that I shouldn't go. But I did. And even though I followed the blazes marked on the trail, I didn't anticipate that there were trails off the main one that looped. I returned to the same spot 4 times!!! I didn't bring my water with me because it was only supposed to be a 1.5 mile trail. I was gone 2.5 hours!!!

Next time I'm listening to my gut. Like I used to. When I didn't get into trouble!

I never get lost anymore, except when my phone is empty. Wonder if Google maps works with those trails though. I was once on a date with a blind man and I had to lead him. I grew up in that city, but we walked around the same stupid tower 5 times and his shoes were wet cause I didn't watch out and he stepped in the water, it rained. At last he scrolled on his phone with his 3 percent sight, put the tom tom on and the lady told us how to walk. Turn left. Turn right.

My phone didn't give me the trail guiding but it did give me a directional arrow back to the parking lot. That helped a lot even though the trails were winding I could still realize if one trail went the wrong way. I think if I didn't have my phone I would have just trespassed onto someone's property and apologize then ask for directions to my car. I would have been horrified to have to do that and I'm glad my phone didn't lose its charge!! It did use up 20% of the battery though to get me back!
