That even some of the nicest people can be really mean when they're influenced by the media.

There are people who have believed that if we don't wear our cloth masks out in public that we're killing someone's grandmother. They then feel the need to attack verbally or physically because the media has influenced them so much that someone is going to die unless those masks are worn.

The science says that the flimsy cloth masks most people wear aren't effective.

Many people, on both sides, simply parrot what their preferred media outlet says and show little evidence of thinking for themselves.

Also that many people are remarkably inconsistent.

That people will believe in anything they hear and go along with it without any hesitation. Despite having the ability to look up all sorts of (true) knowledge at their fingertips but alas, I guess verifying is too much work for them to do so.

This idea that going out is "endangering people". Because there's no risk to anyone, driver included, in taking the car anywhere.

It's like people have lost the distinction between "safe" and "risk free". We've all taken miniscule risks every single day of our lives but now the tiniest risk has become unacceptable, even though the dangers associated with prolonged social isolation are looking like they are greater than the dangers of getting on with life.
