Genesis 16.13 is a good prayer and expression of motivation: "Thou God seest me".

Hmm. I don't generally make goals that I'm not already motivated to reach. Reaching the goal is usually motivation (and reward) enough. So...I suppose my motivation is keeping my eyes on the prize. :)

Yikes! A deadline!
But seriously, I am motivated more by things that interest me and can keep my attention. For example, if there is a subject I'm interested in, I am apt to study until I have a good grasp on the subject. I will also practice a new skill until I get a good grasp on it, then practice more, as it seems a new skill is always needed to keep up with the old skill. This is especially true with my schooling and work. Things are not static, they're fluid, which requires me to continue learning and applying new skills.

If I have a goal I already have motivation. Mostly what I use are reminders. I write lists and read them. I speak verbally to myself regarding things I want or don't want and why. When I use Trivium Method and meditation I often make significant steps to achieving (or continuing to achieve) a goal. When I use it.
