I think some reject our Father's great love because of a lack of understanding. What say you?

I agree, and some just plain don't believe it. Truly, even those of us who believe and receive the great love of God, it is unfathomable. It still comes down to a choice we make....will we believe what God is saying to us, or will we not? He has made it so very simple, yet in our tendency to think religiously and to complicate the simplicity of the gospel with the idea that we have to do something to become lovable to God!

Romans 5:8
But God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners.

Romans 5:8
But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

This is a great aspect that is also hard to grasp with our natural human thinking. He loves us even while we are sinners.

That is one of the precious truths of the gospel message that I think many people who are outside of Christ need to hear, for so many think they need to somehow clean themselves up to be worthy to be acceptable to Him---and then they never come. Many believers need the reminder as well...so, thanks for posting it.

You are welcome. :) And you are right as I run into this many times when evangelizing. People say they have to get right first. That is when this verse backs up John 3:16 perfectly.

Have you ever asked Father why He loves you sooo much? David did.

Psalms 8 O Lord, our Lord, how excellent is thy name in all the earth! who hast set thy glory above the heavens.

2 Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings hast thou ordained strength because of thine enemies, that thou mightest still the enemy and the avenger.

3 When I consider thy heavens, the work of thy fingers, the moon and the stars, which thou hast ordained;

4 What is man, that thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that thou visitest him?

5 For thou hast made him a little lower than the angels, and hast crowned him with glory and honour.

6 Thou madest him to have dominion over the works of thy hands; thou hast put all things under his feet:

7 All sheep and oxen, yea, and the beasts of the field;

8 The fowl of the air, and the fish of the sea, and whatsoever passeth through the paths of the seas.

9 O Lord our Lord, how excellent is thy name in all the earth!

Great is our Father's love for each woman, man, boy and girl. Oh, if people only knew of His thoughts toward us. Here is what He said and I quote.
Jer. 31:3 The Lord hath appeared of old unto me, saying, Yea, I have loved thee with an everlasting love: therefore with lovingkindness have I drawn thee.

Do not be deceived. God loves you! say AMEN!:amen:

This is an interesting thread in its unbelievable level of deception.
No one noticed that it is a one off past tense statement.

When used on the streets it's often raised that if God loves all then they don't want to know him. Used as if it is some magic key phrase it is harmful .
Sometimes the person that hears it thinks..your telling me God loved he guy that molested my kids?I don't want to know that God.
All because this one verse is used with an incorrect understanding.
It is a one off past tense statement.
God So loved... Not loves.
God is going to judge and cast into everlasting fire,those who do evil and refuse to repent of sin. He does not love them.
Once..in an act of benevolent mercy. He loved.and gave us all a hope,a way out of the coming judgment.
He does not love sinners in an ongoing manner.he has promised to destroy them.but love demands mercy and in Jesus that mercy has been offered to all who will believe and act like what they believe is true.

The statement in the holy scriptures about Jesus being a man and the mediator between men and God is present tense, right?

MoreCoffee is a stalker lol.
If people dont want to forgive a rapist of course they don't love God and want nothing to do with Him.
I like rapists and molesters. I once wanted to start a ministry for them but then I thought hmm maybe that ain't wise. I told one the gospel who wanted to rape me. God has a better plan for you sir. He can set you free from this. Lol he got chicken when I said: God is here.
