June was "Pride Month" and here in the People's Republic of California, many schools and public buildings flew the PRIDE flag, usually under the American flag. But this was controversal in some cities (especially fairly conservative ones.)

A city near me had a LOT of people protesting to the City Council, insisting that that city NOT do that. The council debated it, and by a narrow vote, decided that the would fly that flag on all city buildings - and encourage the school district to do the same. T.he reason given is that the LGBTQ+ community was "significant in our city."

Well, now several groups are petitioning the city (and schools) to fly THEIR flag... all taking out permits and seeking City approval. Among them (so far) are:
The Christian flag
The Mexican flag (large Hispanic population in the city)
The National Rifle Association
The Facial Pain Awareness flag
The POW/MIA flag
Juneteenth flag
Domestic Violence Awareness flag

And stating they will be seeking approval, is the Pro Life and Catholic Church flags.

We'll see what the City does.... and of course, some of the above has stated they will take the City to court if they do not get their flag flown on all city buildings.

It's both amusing and serious, isn't it? I can't see any justification for flying the Mexican flag on a US government building, and certainly not without a special occasion like a visit from the Mexican President or something else that's official. But as for the others...sure. Why shouldn't they have as much right to be recognized as the local lesbigay community??

Other cities have experienced the same sequence of events as you describe happening in your own city (but without quite as many different groups demanding equal treatment). I haven't heard if any of them have agreed to fly other flags, but I think it all depends on how insistent or public the particular group happens to be, whether or not they'll be accommodated.

None of those flags contributes to the agenda of demoralizing America and contributing to a declining birth rate - hence I do not see any of them making the cut.

That being said, I could see the powers that be funding flying the Mexican flag...not because it fits the aforementioned critera, but if it could help fuel division of the people, perhaps with a "Mexican lives matter" theme...there might be hope for discord. Of course, achieving this might necessitate some Mexican person being abused by a white police and made a spectacle of in the media. God knows there are just enough stupid people to fall for it, just as they fell for George Soro's "black lives matter".

Update: The Council refused to permit any flags except for the PRIDE, US and State flags. And acknowledged that it has set itself up for lawsuits.

Turns out over THIRTY groups requested to fly their flag. And they came to the meeting speaking of fairness and equality. But by a vote of 3-2, the Council decided to reject all their applications and permit only those 3 flags.

I can't imagine how that policy could be defended, except to claim that the PRIDE organization is a de facto government or that the people it represents are undeniably more important than any other gender, racial, ethnic, linguistic, occupational, or special interest group.
