King James Easy Reader (a.k.a., The Sword Bible). Has words of God in red in both OT and NT, difficult terms underlined and explained at the end of the verse, archaic or obsolete words replaced with their modern equivalents, notation on words for God that tell if the original lanugage is plural or singular. Sample page below. Examples of features: Elohim in first verse is flagged as plural form. Verse 6 references 2 Peter 3:5 and gives "expanse" as a clarification to "firmament." Here is one edition listed with description and features at the publishers web site:

ESV is very popular.
I use it, NASB, and the new LSB a lot.

I tend to use NKJV, KJV and Geneva the most. Also ESV and NRSV-CE on occasion.

I use the KJV for the NT, I prefer comparing the Masoretic/KJV to Brentons Greek Septuagint translations for the OT, which (the LXX) is still translated to a KJV-type archaic form of English.

For simplicity i'll use the Good News Catholic Bible

I have a copy of this one and have been reading from the Old Testament in it. OT is translation of Septuagint. NT is NKJV.

I take turns every year on what translation I use to read the Bible through. Currently I'm using NASB but when If finish this time through I plan on switching to the NIV and reading it through again.

The church I attend uses the ESV for study so that is my main study Bible.

The KJV Bible.

I use The Companion Bible, a KJV study Bible compiled by the 19th century British scholar E. W. Bulllinger. Just having it for the scholarly work he did in the Appendixes justifies having a copy.

I also use BibleSoft software, which has various Bible versions and Bible study tools (highly recommend it). You can download a FREE version of their Bible study software called 'Onetouch' which has many study tools.

ESV, although I sometimes check other translations. I also check with Greek language reference works when I have concerns with a translation.

I use KJV Pure Cambridge edition. But have many translations that shed light on difficult areas. I also use the Brenton LXX for difficult passages in the OT. It really makes Daniel (9:ff) understandable.

Here is one that looks very interesting. I would grab a copy but they only have the expensive leather bound edition. It has updated english for readability and the original margin notes.

I have a copy in my computer bible program. But you should see the Geneva Bible Notes. They help greatly with an understanding of the time period.

I have that Bible, it is my "church" Bible. They use ESV in church, so I like having a different translation for comparison. The notes are helpful as well.
