Enter a food eating contest?

The hot dog eating contest was yesterday and I forgot to watch it!!

Would you ever enter a food eating contest? If so, which one?

I would NOT enter a hot dog eating contest because I can only eat one or two at the most. ick. But I'd eat something like a pudding eating contest, which I've never heard of LOL

I confess that I didn't remember the Nathan's eating contest yesterday, but without Joey Chestnut it seems to have been reduced to the "On well" category.

I can only think that the company and/or the organizers made a big mistake, and that's from the perspective of their own best interests, by banning Joey.

I agree, everyone loves that champion!

Maybe, just maybe, it wouldn't have been quite such a snoozer if this year's male champ had rivalled Joey Chestnut's usual hot dog "count," but when I saw the films of the contest after the fact, I could only think "I didn't miss much" knowing that the winner's own total of hot dogs eaten didn't rival Joey's efforts. Joey Chestnut has had the top 10 scores over the years, and his individual best was almost 20 better than the winning count this year.

In addition, Joey didn't violate any contract or contest rules by endorsing another food. Plus, that other food isn't actually a rival hot dog (in my opinion). A vegetarian meat substitute is not simply a different brand of frankfurter like franks produced by Oscar Meyer or Koegel.

I watched the repeat of the hot dog eating contest last night and it was okay. I bet it was nice for the contestants to finally have their chance at winning since Joey Chestnut never even let anyone get close to his final number!
