At present from what I can see it seems to be a festering cesspit of venom. Hard to see it getting much worse. I don't have an account now and don't plan to get an account, so it makes little difference to me either way.

I use Twitter quite rarely cause I don't really understand how to gain followers and the community seems very close-minded in regards to the things I'm interested in discussing. And I know too little about Elon Musk to be able to have any opinion on his purchase of this site.

I hope his researched what free speech means so he applies it correctly and doesn’t ban people for their opinions and etc..
