Acts 2:38 Peter replied, "Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

Exactly! Repent and "be baptized"...that's passive meaning something is happening. The rest of the verse says what is happening! Now you got it!

Doesn't say, "Repent.... then sometime later, chronologically AFTER finished and one with repenting, receive John's JEWISH baptism with water and then, perhaps years later, chronologically LATER, order to receive the Christian Baptism which includes the Holy Spirit."

In any case, JOHN the Baptist (a JEWISH prophet) HIMSELF said the baptism he is doing is NOT that of Jesus. JOHN HIMSELF notes that Jesus' Baptism (Christian Baptism) will be DIFFERENT, it will involve the Holy Spirit. John never remotely says Jesus' will be ADDITIONAL.

Where you make a wrong leap is by ASSUMING that Jesus' CHRISTIAN Baptism will be not just different but ADDITIONAL - that John's JEWISH water-only (no Holy Spirit) baptism will continue among Christians BUT there will be an ADDITIONAL, separate, second, perhaps later given, Christian Baptism of Spirit only (no water). John doesn't say his will continue, he says Jesus' will be DIFFERENT.

Where is the verse that shows Ephesians 4:5 to be wrong, the one that says, "But there are TWO Christian Baptisms, one with water only and one with only the Holy Spirit?"

No Peter said to be baptized in the name Of Jesus yet when they did this in Samaria you said they did wrong and did not receive the Holy Spirit because they were not baptized in the name of the father the son and the Holy Spirit but this is not what peter said in acts 2, your not making sense?

Are you denying that Peter believed in the Trinity?

Actually, by stating the verse in Acts you are insisting that Peter didn't believe in the trinitarian baptismal formula. That is the true Christian baptism.

The Baptism of John is not practiced by Christians...so there is ONE Christian baptism and it includes water and the receiving of the Holy Spirit. You stated the verse where that happens.
