Go to bed, take your bible, start reading at First Chronicles chapter one verse one. Sleep will come quickly I think. Make sure you have the light switch next to your bed and that you do not need to get up to turn the lights off.

I am super sensitive to caffeine so if I consume anything with caffeine past 2PM I'm in trouble and won't fall asleep easily. I take a long time to fall asleep once in bed and am a light sleeper but I rarely have problems where I'm awake all night. If I am it's because I'm stressed (which is rare) or I'm not feeling well. I just hit the age of 50 so my age might start coming into play and there could be the potential for sleep issues. I don't feel my age yet (or act it) so maybe that won't happen for years ;)

I drink a homeopathic tea of lavender and chamomile when I can't sleep. And yes playing the audio Bible helps me to sleep too.

Chamomile tea is super relaxing! I used to drink it before I found out tea closes up my throat. I'm glad I can still use lavender lotion though because that scent is calming.

I typically fall asleep quickly but wake up after only two to four hours later. If I don't fall asleep quickly I know its going to be a long night. Either way I don't like disturbing my wife so I get up and lay down in the other bedroom listening to youtube sermons which usually help me fall back to sleep after a half an hour to an hour later but then I'm back up after an hour or so and I might repeat this one more time but that's my normal sleeping pattern.

I drink a lot of Mountain Dew and caffeine so maybe that has something to do with it?

Maybe. I guess you could try detoxing your body of caffiene (watch out for the headache) to see if it helps.

I have trouble sleeping all the time. If I don't take night medicine I won't sleep.

I consume a TON of caffeine every day.... it seems to have no impact at all on my sleeping. When I was in college, during those finals weeks, I WANTED it to keep me up but it never did, lol.

I pretty much go to sleep the minute my head hits the pillow.... unless there are other plans.

A blessed New Year to all...

Never have trouble sleeping. I lay my head down and sleep. You can talk in the middle of the night for an hour. Then I lay my head down again and continu my sleep. Learned that since I got kids.

Hotrhymez I have been telling you for years to cut the sugar and caffeine load out your life and still you take no notice man... It will cause more problems than you will ever want as you get older...

I don't usually go to bed until late (after midnight), but I find it hard to sleep if I drink any coffee (the only caffeine drink I drink usually) after 6pm. I even have a note put up in my study reminding me not to drink it and what to do to get sleep. I need to read it more often. After reading a couple of posts here I may change to an earlier hour - and what - homeopathy? I've read about it, never tried it and am not convinced one way or the other.

I now drink de caff coffee black and have no problem sleeping now.. I used to drink normal coffee with milk, never was much of a fan for coke and really not a fan of mountain dew etc.. it has so much sugar in it.. you could try the diet version if you have to drink it ..

The diet version is worse for sleep with the aspartame sugar substitute .
