In the USA, we have an entire MONTH to celebrate PRIDE in the LGBTQ+ community.

We have one day to remember those died for our country, one day to remember those who served in our country... one day to celebrate our presidents... one day the birth of Jesus... one day to celebrate His resurrection... But we have a month to celebrate the PRIDE of LGBTQ+ people. Obviously, it takes 30 times more time to do that.

Let me be crystal clear: I do NOT - not at all, not a bit - desire to detract or diminish or dismiss anything whatsoever from anyone who is LGBTQ+. That is NOT at all the purpose or desire of this thread.

I just have one sincere question: WHAT, exactly, are we celebrating about LGBTQ+ people? Is this pride in their greater education or financial success? In their unique military or political service? Are there some things they UNIQUELY have done that we are all are so very proud of?

I just want to know. In WHAT are we to be proud of LGBTQ+ folks? Especially 30 times more than we are proud of say those who died in wars or served as presidents? WHAT, exactly?

Again, PLEASE don't remotely suggest I'm being anti-LGBTQ+. I'm not. I just have listened - very carefully - for years now, during this PRIDE month, trying to determine WHAT we are all to be proud about? Requiring a whole month to get it all in?

Nothing.

The LGBTQ acceptance in the U.S. is due to the natural degeneration of fallen man. Nothing to be proud of. Just a fact.

The same is true of the elevation of the sons of Ham and the hatred against the sons of Shem and Japheth. It's a natural degeneration of fallen man.

Strange isn't it? How these two seem to go together. Elevation of queers and the third world races along with the hatred of the white race?

White races don't even get a day to acknowledge the accomplishments of their race. That is just too....'racist'.

I don't quite get the idea that people are so remarkably proud of what is apparently little more than an accident of genetics. But at the same time it's bigoted to be proud of genetics giving you white skin, XY chromosomes or an attraction to members of the opposite sex.

Yeah.

Leaves me with that question mark...

Homosexuality is a sin. It is an abomination. God destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah with fire and brimstone. It is nothing to be proud about. It is something to be ashamed about and should be utterly condemned.

Understood.

But it still leaves me with a question mark.... I mean, I'm heterosexual but I don't take "PRIDE" in that, so much pride that it would take 30 days to express it all. I mean I didn't do anything to be heterosexual., I can't take any credit for that. There are heterosexuals who were bad (Hitler) and ones who were good (Jesus) .... I know some heterosexuals who are jerks and some who are saints but in neither case is it clear that 100% of the reason is that they are heterosexual.

Sometimes on the 4th of July (just one day) people will say they are proud to be Americans. I think what they mean is that they are proud of America. And I think there are specific things we can be proud about (and of course, a lot of things to be very embarrassed and ashamed of, too). It's a mixed bag... and of course others can be proud of their country, too. But in those cases, there are specific things they can point to. What are the LGBTQRXTWK+ pointing to?

Our society.... the press.... all over the internet....even stores - SO much about PRIDE. "We are so proud......" but they never finish the sentence. Proud of WHAT? What are we suppose to be PROUD about for a whole month?

You're speaking logically, but the reason for the over-the-top flag displays, news articles, "Pride" declarations, street paintings, drag performances in schools, and etc. is propaganda.

It's done simply to establish that their way of life is normal and, presumably, embraced by society in general. Activists often insist that their lifestyle must be applauded by the rest of society and that mere tolerance is insufficient.

The goal is to make it seem, through a proliferation of quasi-positive references to homosexuality and all the other sexual variations that the gay lobby claims as part of its own movement, that any people (such as in the churches) who dare to hold a different view are therefore hatemongers, extremists, or even a fringe element in society which must NOT be tolerated.

In a similar vein I find it curious to see the endless push to support businesses owned by this group or that group. Obviously not straight white men, any other group. We have the idea that we should support a business because the owners are black/female (or femme-identifying, whatever that means today), or gay, or nonbinary, or whatever other group is in vogue today. And there was me, obviously some kind of dinosaur, thinking I support businesses that offer a good product at a good price and really couldn't care less whether the owner is black or white, gay or straight, male or female, or whatever else we're constantly told doesn't matter except when it does.

Ultimately the LGBTQWERTY+ movement is all about destroying the family as the basic unit of Godly living.

It kills me to see people displaying the rainbow signs in their years, "we believe love is love..." Pure virtue signaling and informing their neighbors that they are unable to use their brains in any capacity beyond repeating the crap they are told in the media. This is the legacy of government schooling.

I read an article recently that commented on how the original concept of Pride was just for the G people - gay men. Then lesbians jumped in, then bisexuals and then it all went downhill. Essentially the alphabet people are little more than a totally disparate group of groups with nothing in common other than being something other than heteronormative. What has a man who loves other men got in common with a man who thinks he is a woman? What does someone who doesn't want to have sex with anybody have in common with any of the other of the alphabet people? And yet the list keeps growing.

The article I read didn't explicitly say as much but it read as if the author was probably a gay man and objecting to being lumped in with a whole load of other groups that had nothing in common with him, and also expressed concern that as soon as whatever letter will be associated with "minor attracted" will cause the public to become hostile to the entire group rather than accepting of what should never be accepted.

At the end of the day if two men want to get it on it's none of my business. I may have my thoughts on whether it is sinful or not but I have no right to regulate what two or more consenting adults do in private. Where children are concerned, and where consent is absent (through force or through lack of legal ability to consent) things change totally.

Correct. They don't care in that it will make no difference to them.

They do care in that they are against us and what we believe.

I agree. The movement is straight out of hell. Always has been. Just as with Sodom and Gomorrah. And it always will be.

It kills me worse to see certain churches join the bandwagon professing their acceptance of all based on 'love'.

Somewhat ambiguous list.

For example, the Confederte History Month in April was only established by 7 Sothern states of the Conferacy. The U.S. certainly doesn't acknowledge it. How can they, and at the same time allow the Confederate statues and flags to be removed? Without a vote from the people of the State.

The tail wags the dog.

For all intents and purposes, Black History month is five months long, beginning with MLK's birthday in January and extending to Juneteenth with commemorations along the way of the "I have a Dream" speech and other historic events. By the way, Black (Something Else) month follows that immediately, but I forget what the particular focus is supposed to be then.

Black History Month. I understand.... it's a time to focus on their history. Okay. I'm good with that, I understand that. I wish there was an American History Month but I'm sure that will never happen.

But PRIDE month.... WHAT are we to be proud of? WHAT, specifically, are they PROUD for?
