Concerned about this

Lately I have been spitting up what looks like blood in the morning. I called my doctor and made an appointment. I have to wait 2 weeks. I looked it up in research and it says it could be some kind of respiratory thing like bronchitis, pneumonia and also said lung cancer. I'm not terrible scared for some reason. I just want to know what it is.:dunno:

Wait...you're spitting up blood, and they're telling you you have to wait 2 weeks to be seen? That's just wrong...they need to see you NOW. It could be minor, or as you found, or it could be very serious. I would call them back and tell them you need to be seen that day no ifs ands or buts, or else find another doctor...that's my advice.

I sure hope it turns out to be minor, but 2 weeks is a long time to be left wondering and worrying, and could be crucial time that treatment can be started if it is more serious.

Thank you! I noticed this morning that my nose was bleeding for no reason. I think I am having bleeding in my nose that is dripping into my throat. Gross I know. But this makes it less worse than thought, I think. I have noticed some fluids in my nose but didn't check it out till today. Could be a lot of things including a sinus infection. Could also be this new med the doc has me on. Not going to take it and see if this continues.

The medicine is on a as needed basis.

Just the last day it seems to have stopped.

Saw the doctor. I have the problem off and on. The doctor thinks it's a GI issue so she prescribed some prilosec and discontinued a med that can irritate my stomach. I discontinued it but still have the problem however haven't picked up the prilosec yet.

Looks like this post is over a month old, so I am wondering if there was a resolution to this issue? What did the doctor say?
