The oldest just watched and played soccer, but the youngest two absolutely loved it. I threw everything on the floor. Pick what you like. Last year I couldn't throw away anything, but now most is too childish and they were like: oh throw it away. We have one box left. They were happily playing with old stuff they didn't even know they still had. I found a good boot, only had one. Now I don't have to buy new ones and denim that wasn't 10 cm too small, awesome!
I went to the grocery store with the middle one and he wanted matches. Then they wanted to make a fire in the park and were looking for old papers. Oh I can help you with that. Look! Closets and boxes full of it. It rained so we burned it underneath an old tree. Then I thought: hey I can clean up the rest of the closets too now. Tomorrow I'll do the rest. 9 bags of toys, nuts. If I had sorted everything out I could have sold it on ebay. Some people sell all that stuff there for 1 or 2 euro a piece. I could have become a millionaire.

My wife has been doing a big purge for weeks. Got rid of half of the little one's toys, and they didn't even know. But now they have more room to play.

Oh I could never do that. I'd put stuff in a bag in a garage with the idea: they won't notice and then later I'll throw it away and then it was: where's my - insert some stupid thing from the MacDonalds or something -. So glad I could finally throw it all away. Now they only have real good toys left. I threw away lego, duplo. I had no energy to sort it out for someone else with smaller kids. What a mess.
