Yeshua was not eating flesh of killed animals.
You don't have your facts straight, FredV8.

Jesus or Yeshua, whichever you prefer, most definitely ate the Passover meal which included eating the flesh of the sacrificial lamb. He also ate fish.

Quote: The lamb was set on the table at the evening banquet (see Passover Seder), and was eaten by the assembled company after all had satisfied their appetites with the ḥagigah or other food. The sacrifice had to be consumed entirely that same evening, nothing being allowed to remain overnight. While eating it, the entire company of those who partook was obliged to remain together, and every participant had to take a piece of the lamb at least as large as an olive. [Wkpd: Passover Sacrifice & Meal]

Luk 22:7-16
Then came the Day of Unleavened Bread, when the Passover must be killed. (8) And He sent Peter and John, saying, "Go and prepare the Passover for us, that we may eat." (9) So they said to Him, "Where do You want us to prepare?" (10) And He said to them, "Behold, when you have entered the city, a man will meet you carrying a pitcher of water; follow him into the house which he enters. (11) Then you shall say to the master of the house, 'The Teacher says to you, "Where is the guest room where I may eat the Passover with My disciples?" ' (12) Then he will show you a large, furnished upper room; there make ready." (13) So they went and found it just as He had said to them, and they prepared the Passover. (14) When the hour had come, He sat down, and the twelve apostles with Him. (15) Then He said to them, "With fervent desire I have desired to eat this Passover with you before I suffer; (16) for I say to you, I will no longer eat of it until it is fulfilled in the kingdom of God."

You don't have to talk with me that way saying I don't have my facts straight. I am not a new believer and have read and studied from the Bible for many years. Those with that background do not all just agree about everything with each other. I would not have communicated what I show with just not having facts straight. You answered like I have not seen certain verses and not considered those things. But they do not prove your argument. It is not shown.

Jesus did not talk or care about buildings and programs. See, Jesus talked very little about “ekklesia” – only three times, all in Matthew. And he most certainly never talked about “church” as defined above.
From this logic, flows the conclusion that we should probably discard the OT and NT Letters from general usage. All we need are the “red letters”.

The Apostles wrote a great deal about order and submission and building up one another within the “ecclesia”. We are the “ASSEMBLY”, the local “body of Christ” … in MODERN ENGLISH: the Church.

Many of the GREEK words used in scripture for important Christian concepts were borrowed by the NT authors and given new and slightly different meanings from their Pagan Greek origins in order to express newly revealed God-given truth. Why should English be immune from being used by Christians as Greek was … with words taken from pre-Christian origins and infused with new meaning.

It is a picture in ”words” of the handiwork of God in “peoples” (as in of every tribe, tongue and nation). As the writers transformed the language, so God transformed the people. One reality reflects the other and is a reason to praise God, not shake our fists at words.

Your ultimate concern is the ignorance among the “saved” of what the “ASSEMBLY” is called to be. This is a weakness in our “teaching” of God’s Word and our “discipleship” of God’s People … not a curse from the translation. The English Translation that used the word “Church” managed to yield the Moravian Brotherhood in North America, Charles Spurgeon, John Wesley, and Billy Graham (to name just a few) … so the Church (living Body of Christ) is doing just fine under the guidance of the Holy Spirit and the headship of Christ.

Our efforts would be better spent “lighting a candle” to bring more light to the living Church than by “cursing the darkness” by shaking a fist at translators that died centuries ago.

(I wanted to offer a response to the content of your message).

Just FYI for anyone interested … the link in the OP doesn’t work for me (I get a server connection error message).
If it is not “just me”, then the blog may no longer be available and it may be impossible to “discuss it” (If we can’t read it).

The OP was from 2016 and it appears the site is no longer active and it was never properly quoted except for the title of this thread. This is the problem with resurrecting very old threads here...we don't mind revivals, it's just that there can be issues like this that come up.

This account is mentioned in Luke 22:8, Matthew 26:17, and Mark 14:12 and it is describing for a Gentile audience the Jewish custom that involves slaughtering a lamb. The passage does not, however, mention a lamb being slaughtered by the disciples or eaten by Jesus or any of the disciples. Instead it says they “ate the Passover”. The only two food items mentioned in each of the gospel accounts are bread and the fruit of the vine. The only time a lamb is mentioned is in describing how “they” (most likely the Sadducees) customarily observe Passover.

If we consider the context of what is happening in this passage, it does not make sense for a few reasons that Jesus and his disciples would be slaughtering and eating lamb in their observance of Passover. First of all, according to scripture, the Passover lamb is not to be sacrificed anywhere other than the temple (Deuteronomy 16:5), which existed in Jerusalem. Nowhere is a trip to the temple mentioned in this account. Secondly, not all Jews were observing Passover the same way at that time. There is recorded evidence of at least three distinct Jewish sects existing in Israel at the time of Jesus and his disciples: the Pharisees, Sadducees, and Essenes. The Sadducees were in control of the temple and were the priestly class profiting from animal sacrifices in the temple. Jesus overturned their tables and set the animals free that they were selling for sacrifice (John 2:15). Jesus was also highly critical of the Pharisees, whom he refers to as “hypocrites, blind guides, and brood of vipers” (Matthew 23:13-36). The Essenes are the only sect that Jesus did not oppose throughout his ministry.

See what many don't see and miss passages for it being shown, that my conscience is not wrong, and God's compassion is greater, God cares for the creatures of God's creation.

My original post in this thread was on the topic. When someone responds to my communication to single out one thing to criticize that it was wrong, I am right to respond to that showing I wasn't wrong, which I actually wasn't. I don't need to start a different thread, for that, and I am not inclined to start any thread. Carry on with the topic this is for.

Well, you resurrected this thread and then got a little brash with one of the other members as well as myself. Closing this thread since you haven't edified anyone.
