Never said that it was the trigger, but rather the incubator for certain clergy... general populates have all the rest of the excuses.

I'd have thought if you're going to have illicit sex any normal person would choose a consenting adult partner rather than a child.

As a married man if I ever were to seek out an affair it would be with a woman who was old enough to give her informed consent, and who consented to the arrangement. It certainly wouldn't be a child.

It seems to me that there's an obvious attraction to certain roles for those of certain dispositions. If you're minded to abuse children an obvious thing to do is to seek out a position that gives you as much access to children as possible. So one might reasonably expect such people to seek out positions like priest or teacher, and voluntary positions like sports coach, scout leader, youth club leader etc.
