What do you put on your favorite sandwich? What kind of bread do you use? Condiments?

I actually love two sandwiches that I make.

I sauté strips of skirt steak, poblano peppers, onions and bacon with a few herbs and spices to taste. I top it with Chihuahua cheese and I put it on toasted Ciabatta.

The second one is actually a wrap.

It’s basically an Italian sub, salami, ham, mortadella (any fatty Italian sausage) and provolone cheese, lettuce, tomato and to make it easy I use store bought giardiniera from a jar. A few spices and I wrap it in a large whole wheat tortilla. Sometimes I run the whole wrap through a panini press for a minute to crisp it up.

Ham or turkey, with lettuce and miracle whip

For bread I'll use either white or wheat

I remember how much I loved to make a sandwich with a steak. Where I grew up we had a local bakery (sadly long since closed down) that made the most amazing bread I'd ever tasted. The fact it was fresh every day helped there. I used to cut two thick slabs of bread and put a big steak between them. No condiments necessary.

If I go out to eat I really love ordering a Reuben sandwich. If I make one at home I just like to make a "sandwich" with ham, mayo and mustard wrapped in big lettuce leaves.
