I loved it over there, if the restrictions on immigration hadnt been so tedious I might have stayed over there
These days, even the non-European Union spouses of British people can't live in Britain with their British husband or wife unless they meet earnings criteria. It's unjust, in my view, that you who contributed to Britain's defence as an ally, should be passed over in favor of otherwise worthy people from some European countries with absolutely no connection with Britain except the European right to go to Britain and draw public assistance benefits.

The bells are impressive when they ring. I watched the Tour de France as it came through London in 2014 and was stood in the shadow of the tower.

The sound of the chime is very memorable also. The BBC still uses it, I think.
