PART XVIII — “When the Revival Spreads to the DMV”
The couple goes to register the Corolla — and Heaven follows them.
The couple walked into the DMV with their prayer‑blessed Corolla paperwork in hand.
The DMV was… the DMV.
Fluorescent lights flickering. People slumped in chairs like they’d been waiting since the Bronze Age. A toddler crying in the corner. A man muttering about license plate fees. A woman clutching a number that said
A‑402 while the screen displayed
A‑17.
The couple stepped up to the counter.
The clerk didn’t look up.
“Take a number.”
The couple smiled.
“We trust the Lord.”
The clerk froze.
Slowly… she looked up.
Her eyes widened.
“You’re… the prayer couple.”
The couple nodded gently.
“We’re here to register our Corolla.”
The clerk stood up so fast her chair rolled backward.
“EVERYONE,” she shouted,
“THE PRAYER COUPLE IS HERE!”
The entire DMV turned.
The toddler stopped crying.
The man muttering about fees whispered, “No way…”
The woman holding A‑402 fainted.
The DMV supervisor ran out of his office holding a stack of forms like a shield.
“Are you the ones who flipped the dealership?” he asked breathlessly.
“We didn’t flip anything,” the couple said. “The Lord did.”
The supervisor swallowed hard.
“Well… we’ve been having… issues.”
He gestured around.
“The computers crash every 12 minutes. The printer jams every 7. The license plate machine keeps stamping the letter Q no matter what we type. And the waiting line… well… it’s been stuck since 1998.”
The couple nodded.
“We’d like to pray.”
The DMV staff panicked.
“No, no, no—” “Not here—” “The last time y’all prayed, the vending machine guy started speaking in tongues—” “The dealership’s finance manager hasn’t stopped quoting Proverbs—” “The mechanics baptized a transmission—”
But it was too late.
The couple bowed their heads.
And prayed.
Not a quiet prayer. Not a polite prayer. Not a “Lord help the DMV run smoother” prayer.
It was a prayer that rolled through the building like a holy thunderstorm.
And the couple prays:
“Father, in the name of Jesus — let Your order invade this place. Let Your peace settle over every desk, every form, every number, every system. Where there has been confusion, bring clarity. Where there has been delay, bring acceleration. Where there has been frustration, bring favor. We speak life over these computers, grace over these printers, and joy over every person who walks through these doors. Let this DMV become a place of patience, kindness, efficiency, and blessing. Let Your Spirit rest here like a warm blanket of peace. And let every worker feel Your love, Your nearness, and Your strength. We declare this building redeemed, restored, and revived — in Jesus’ name.”
The lights brighten. The number board jumps from A‑17 to A‑402. The clerk cries. The toddler stops screaming. Revival hits the DMV.
The lights brightened. The computers rebooted instantly. The printer printed 400 forms without jamming. The license plate machine stamped perfect plates. The waiting line number jumped from A‑17 to A‑402 in one second.
The woman holding A‑402 woke up and shouted, “IT’S MY TURN!”
The toddler began singing “Jesus Loves Me.”
The supervisor dropped to his knees.
“I want to give my life to Christ.”
The clerk followed.
“Me too.”
The entire DMV staff gathered around the couple, and right there — surrounded by forms, pens on chains, and laminated signs — they prayed the sinner’s prayer.
When they finished, the supervisor stood up, wiped his eyes, and declared:
“From now on, this DMV will be known as the
Department of Miraculous Vehicles.”
The couple smiled.
“Praise the Lord.”
PART XIX — “The Revival Hits the Insurance Office”
The couple goes to insure the Corolla — and the Spirit moves again.
They walked into the insurance office.
The agent looked up.
“Oh no,” he whispered. “It’s them.”
He tried to hide behind a stack of policy forms.
But the couple approached gently.
“We’d like to insure our Corolla.”
The agent trembled.
“Please… don’t pray. My premium calculator can’t handle it.”
The couple smiled.
“We trust the Lord.”
They pray:
“Lord Jesus, we thank You for Your protection, Your covering, and Your wisdom. We bless this insurance office — every agent, every policy, every customer. Let honesty reign here. Let fairness reign here. Let compassion reign here. We ask You to guide every decision, every rate, every calculation. Let Your favor rest on this place like oil poured from heaven. Bless the workers with peace, patience, and joy. Bless the customers with clarity and provision. And let this office become known as a place where Your goodness is felt the moment someone walks in. We declare protection, blessing, and divine order — in Jesus’ name.”
The agent fainted.
When he woke up, he was saved.
Their premium dropped 40%.
The office hung a sign:
“Faith, Favor & Full Coverage.”
PART XX — “The Revival Reaches the Gas Station”
The couple fills up — and the station gets touched by Heaven.
They pulled into a gas station.
The pump screen flickered.
“Insert card.”
The couple prayed.
The couple prays:
“Father, we bless this gas station in Jesus’ name. Bless the workers, the customers, the pumps, the systems, the supply lines. Let this place be filled with safety, peace, and kindness. Let Your presence rest on this property — that every person who stops here feels comfort instead of stress. We speak protection over every vehicle that fuels here. We speak blessing over every driver. We speak provision over every family represented. Let this station be a beacon of Your goodness — a place where frustration turns into peace and hurry turns into gratitude. And let Your love be displayed in ways that surprise everyone who stops here. In Jesus’ name — amen.”
The pump screen changed.
“Jesus loves you.”
The gas station attendant ran out.
“WHAT DID YOU DO?!”
The couple smiled.
“We trust the Lord.”
The gas station attendant fell to his knees.
“I want to be saved.”
He was.
Gas prices dropped 30 cents.
The station hung a sign:
“Holy Spirit Fuel — Powered by Grace.”
PART XXI — “The Revival Returns to the Dealership”
The dealership hears what happened — and celebrates.
The salesman‑deacon burst into the general manager’s office.
“THE PRAYER COUPLE REVIVED THE DMV!”
The general manager gasped.
“The DMV?!”
The finance manager dropped his Bible.
The vending machine guy shouted:
“I FEEL THE SPIRIT IN MY KNEECAPS AGAIN!”
They ran outside and waved as the couple drove past in their prayer‑blessed Corolla.
The dealership erupted in worship.
The mechanics lifted alternators like praise flags.
The vending machine dispensed free snacks.
The showroom lights flickered like revival candles.
And on His throne in heaven, the Lord smiled again — the smile of a Father who loves to turn car buying into kingdom building, dealerships into sanctuaries, and everyday errands into divine appointments.
