Maybe the airline employees are underpaid and over worked?

or grumpy unsympathetic nasty jerks. I've been overworked but I didnt pull guys out of the office or slam women with strollers. Never seen any other underpaid overworked collegue do it either. This is just crazy.
Then nurses should do that, theyre extremely underpaid and overworked.

The way it is written, the attendant grabbed the stroller and it hit her(the woman), as in accidentally, not purposeful. I can see how that could happen. Didn't the woman know there was no place to stow a stroller in the cabin?

I'm surprised they let her get that far onto the plane. For my most recent flight on AA when we were at the boarding area, right before getting onto the plane there was someone who collected all the strollers and put the tags on them for checking them with the luggage. Then they were hauled away to be put with the other pieces of luggage before we took off. She must have really wiggled her way through that and didn't know she couldn't take the stroller on the flight. I don't know what she expected to do with it once in her seat because AA isn't the roomiest of airlines.

There is that possibility too.

The media have reported on declining pay and employees on airlines. Maybe they are grumpy because of that?

Could be, I think they get annoyed cause people don't cooperate or don't know stuff. They just don't have any patience and shouldn't work there.

Yeah, but think how it would have aggravated other passengers had the woman took that stroller on board and it held up the flight with her trying to stow a stroller. There is nowhere onboard to stow a stroller. Evidently she did not want to relinquish the stroller to the attendant to be checked. It is the attendants job to confiscate items that cannot be stowed. I have seen them take bags that are too big to go into the overhead bins. She could have just let the attendant have the stroller instead of wrestling over it.

Maybe she was still nuts because of the pregnancy hormones lol, yes I agree. I don't fly much anymore. Don't even remember. They should check all that stuff better before the people get in. Don't they always do that?

Brighten is right that there is absolutely no spot for that stroller. No room under the seat. No room in the aisle. No room in the overhead. There is barely enough room for the passengers and the small carry ons. My husband has a carry on and it was slightly bulging because the zipper that compacts it was broken and he was forced to check the bag right as we were boarding the plane. Coming back no one forced him so it's also a bit subjective in who gets chosen.

Rens made a good point about hormones!! After having a baby emotions are hard to handle.

I wish we had video of the footage of the stroller exchange to get a broader perspective of the whole situation.

He was totally out of control, after it almost hit a baby a first class passenger got up and said if he had done that to him he would have knocked him out and then the guy goes into a rage and tells him to hit him and the captain had to restrain this guy, he should not be a flight attenfdant or anything else that requires interaction with people

As we looked at the woman and maybe having emotional outbursts because of hormones after giving birth...let's look at the flight attendant who is on a tight schedule and oftentimes while boarding IT'S HOT IN THAT PLANE. So hot that it causes tempers to flare. The air circulating isn't at full capacity from my memory of flying while people are boarding.

Is there any video on the actual incident or just the aftermath? I'd love to see what exactly happened. Point of view plays a role too in which angle people witnessed.

Yeah I saw the link posted here, I'm talking about the events that happened that led up to that point. I wouldn't be surprised if airlines started setting up video cameras for all of their flights kinda like you see in elevators.

I think Morecoffee is right.

Airline industry analyst Henry Harteveldt says flight crews work under enormous pressure.

“He snapped when he shouldn’t have,” Harteveldt said.

“Airlines are staffing their planes with the minimum number of required flight attendants and that’s not right for the passenger or for the employee either,” he said.

Regardless of the view there is no excuse for this, I guess the airline agreed as they gave the woman a 1000 dollar flight voucher and uopgraded her
