Hmm...I'm not sure, but I'll go with self. I think people tend to sabotage their own happiness, or they don't realize how blessed they are to appreciate it enough.

Life.
I believe 'happiness' is a very shallow thing. Occurs in ones life only during certain events. Once the event is over, life and reality take over again.
Happiness is a deceptive and false goal to seek to obtain.
