Jesus tells us to give to Caeser what is his, and unto God what is His.What do you think about removing “In God We Trust” from American money?
Yeah, I think an obsession with politics isn't helping Christians. What about spreading the gospel instead?Jesus tells us to give to Caeser what is his, and unto God what is His.
There's no point in removing it except to appease those who hate God.
I'd think that most churches are capable of doing both.Yeah, I think an obsession with politics isn't helping Christians. What about spreading the gospel instead?
You have good points. Nonetheless, it's a deep topic.I'd think that most churches are capable of doing both.
As for any alleged obsession with "politics," you are referring to the kinds of governments and their policies that any people live under.
If worshipping and spreading the Gospel, etc. are important (as I believe you would agree), it does matter which governors rule over you!
Consider the fate of countries in which some totalitarian authority has been established and the churches forced underground, to say nothing about the infringement upon the ability of the believers when they attempt to "spread the Gospel" both at home and abroad. And that's to say nothing about the government instituting rules that are completely contrary to the Gospel.
