It is not that I would walk away from Christianity. But I have the experience of being so discouraged before, with tremendously great loss, and, I am yet aware of weakness in areas of Christian faith, not that Christian faith is wrong, it has strong evidences for it. But, if I ever did think...
There are cults in different ways. We learn things when young. We question some things, but there are a lit of things not questioned. This is especially when those we see all do likewise. Like politics, and even patriotism.
I do not have card membership, but there are cults, some would say I have membership in some certain cult or another. Cults are very generally wide spread everywhere. Some of you might be members of a cult, likely enough.
Clement of Alexandria book 2 chapter 1 can be read here:

It is a longer read there, it is what I referred to.
I do find some argument from those who respond for the interest to serve their bellies.
The writings such as this may be so wordy, there might not be readers seeing what is said here. It relates to the table of demons mentioned in the new testament of the Bible, that would seem so vague to some. Here Clement is showing that there are many such who are motivated by their bodily...
Early Christians have a testimony which should not be dismissed. Such might not be considered, so it would be appropriate to share what is yet found from very early Christian writers nearest to the time of Christ's resurrection and the start of the Christian church.
Here is an excerpt from...
It seems that the early Christian writers nearest to the time of Christ's resurrection and the start of the Christian church though not with the authority on things from God as what is in the new testament, and the old testament, of the Bible, are of significant value in better understanding of...
I don't really hate Christian songs. There is still It Is Well, it can be sung really well, and I have heard that, but it is not easy, I find I sing it too flat, others do too.
Many will express strong skepticism of Heaven or anything to experience hereafter. What do you expect when there is skepticism, or from some dismissal, of God? God is necessary to any realistic Heaven that there would be to experience. But with God being good, thar is what there would be. God is...
I would not base argument about reality on silence in the Bible. There are many things in reality not mentioned in the Bible. But if there is something important to doctrine the Bible will be clear about it. Doctrines that do not have that clear basis from the Bible have an interpretation not...
The universe is very huge, and this said is very much an understatement. I believe that in all the vast universe there would be some other worlds with living beings there. God is the Creator that determines all of the universe being there, and we are on one obscure spot in it, relative to the...
I think that I should break off from posting at this forum site. I am not finding communication that I would really want to. I figured out that I owe the explanation rather than just disappearing from here. I want to acknowledge those who communicated with kindness each time they posted a...
My original post in this thread was on the topic. When someone responds to my communication to single out one thing to criticize that it was wrong, I am right to respond to that showing I wasn't wrong, which I actually wasn't. I don't need to start a different thread, for that, and I am not...
I think there is lack of biblical support for that position. I find the biblical basis that Yahweh is love and cares for all, as the Creator. The premise of ethnic groups continuing in eternity is flawed, though. We who are redeemed will come to have a new identity. There is no basis to say the...
See what many don't see and miss passages for it being shown, that my conscience is not wrong, and God's compassion is greater, God cares for the creatures of God's creation...
This account is mentioned in Luke 22:8, Matthew 26:17, and Mark 14:12 and it is describing for a Gentile audience the Jewish custom that involves slaughtering a lamb. The passage does not, however, mention a lamb being slaughtered by the disciples or eaten by Jesus or any of the disciples...
If there is doctrine shown in Psalms I think there is requirement of another passage for enough witness to the doctrine.
I would not think of concluding twenty years is the age of accountability from that so much as concluding God is gracious and knows who to leave as a remnant.
I see how...
I never had liked gap theories I heard. But gaps in genealogies in the Bible is a thing, that is demonstrable. So as history has gone so on so long I can believe that God's creation started hundreds or thousands of years before six thousand years ago.
You don't have to talk with me that way saying I don't have my facts straight. I am not a new believer and have read and studied from the Bible for many years. Those with that background do not all just agree about everything with each other. I would not have communicated what I show with just...
