Why Christ said we have to go Beyond the Law

The Law can't save us. It's the Gospel that brings us to salvation. So why do we still need the Lord's good and holy Law? Because it shows our love for God and for our neighbor. Our neighbors need us to live like little Christs.

    Salvation

Salvation is what God does for us. We don't get to be our own Saviors since one was provided for us. God came to earth in the form of man, lived the perfectly obedient life we could not, and died on the cross in our place. He gives us faith by His grace and word to believe that we are forgiven...

The Holy Spirit points us to Jesus

I have a friend who has said that he's heard people say that some people don't talk enough about the Holy Spirit. It got me to remembering this verse: John 16:14 He will glorify me because it is from me that he will receive what he will make known to you The primary role of the Holy Spirit is...

    Prayer thread for August 2026

I used to live in Northwest Indiana and they had very bad storms, tornados and a derecho in that area last week. There is so much devastation that it's unfathomable what has happened. Thousands are still without power and have trees down and flooded basements. As power gets turned on, friends...

    Are Ghosts Real?

Ghosts are not our dead friends and family, but people want to believe they are. Satan wants us to believe it because it makes God a liar in that their souls aren't with God in heaven after they died.

    Lämmchen's Workout Thread

Yesterday I set my alarm for 6:30 so I could walk and at 6:35 it started to rain :( So no walk outside for me. Today it's supposed to rain as well so indoor workouts again. I'm sick of summer. Oops, for some reason the server must have glitched and not posted the above that I wrote. Anyway...

USA Olson: "No One Is Too Far Gone for Jesus"

It's the job of the Holy Spirit to bring us to faith (which is belief in the Savior and the cross where forgiveness was won). When someone rejects the Holy Spirit, they also reject the salvation that He brings to them, which is why it's unforgivable. Those who commit this sin, know what they're...

Did Christ die for them that are perishing ?

The elect are those who have faith when they die.

USA Olson: "No One Is Too Far Gone for Jesus"

When they die, do they still reject the Savior? Blasphemy is about rejection of our triune God and the forgiveness won at the cross.

The close of Probation, or when Christ finishes His work as Intermediary

As a Lutheran, I don't believe that WE decide to become believers. It's God who makes that decision to convert us.

Will A.I. and DEI Eventually Clash in the Classroom?

AI is already left-leaning. I have a blog where I daily test out AI for many different things and I've noticed it giving me responses that are more geared towards the left and progressive ideals. It's already been programmed that way and I try to retrain it so that it's more objective than...
