Easter is the biggest celebration for Christians. Our Lord has risen, He has risen indeed! Alleluia. I know I'm a bit early in this discussion, but I'm curious what things your church does for Easter Sunday?
How could Jesus perform such a great miracle? Doesn't that seem to be the question from those many who don't believe in the Real Presence? It's as if they don't get it that Jesus is God and can do great things, things way beyond our understanding.
I won't be building a new house any time soon! We talked about moving toward the ocean when my husband retires, and building a new home would have meant we got the home we actually wanted. That's still a ways off, but will lumber still be out of control in a decade?
Didn't Confucius just give advice on how to be an ethical person? Christianity shows us that no matter how hard we try, we can't be the perfect being that God wishes us to be. It's why those sins had to be forgiven and He came here as man to die for us.
My daughter didn't get a smartphone until she was older...but when she was 13 she and her best friend each wrote me a letter stating why they thought it was important for my daughter to have a cell phone (a basic phone with texting). What convinced me was how each said that after cross country...
If the child has a decent job, still eats the food in the house, has mom do his/her laundry, etc...then yes, it's okay to charge the kid. But if the parents really want that child to move out, they can accept rent payment, then give it back to the kid when he/she finds an apartment and needs...
It used to mean that a person's post was more reliable because people liked it. It doesn't really hold that value anymore because people can post a thousand memes on a Christian forum and get a thousand likes but say nothing about theology.
