    Why Universal Atonement is Pelagianism

I'm going to stipulate that what you wrote here ^ is indeed what you believe. There is no chance that you'll budge from it, no matter how it is debunked and how many times and in how many ways. You'll just restate the same erroneous claim again and again as though that will accomplish anything...

Jesus died for the sins of the world

That's an example of illogical thinking and, as such, has nothing to do with what the Scripture is saying. "If one isn't given Faith," what it means is that one isn't given Faith! But what does that have to do with "Universal Atonement?" Well, nothing directly. Universal Atonement refers to...

Jesus died for the sins of the world

You've also posted that many times, and it's still incorrect. I suppose we should have straightened you out the first time it was posted, but... While Pelagius rejected the idea known as Original Sin, he did affirm that what we do towards righteousness is because Christ has remade us and...

Jesus died for the sins of the world

It does seem as though you've posted that about twenty times now, but that doesn't make it be correct, you should know.

Jesus died for the sins of the world

It doesn't mean any such thing. What it means is that Christ, the Savior, called upon men to believe in him and trust him, and that in doing so they could receive eternal life. If they do not, they are lost.

Jesus died for the sins of the world

Whether or not disbelief is a sin, such persons still don't have saving faith; and that answers your question about why they are not heaven-bound. See Romans 3:10-20; John 11:25; and Ephesians 1:7

    They lack saving Faith.

    Interactive Religion?

You know, it's not easy for the rest of us, as Bible-believing Christians, to cut FAITH out of our understanding of the divine plan just like that.

    Not Happy

Stick with the LC-MS. As you were told, this issue (which we here can indeed appreciate) is typical of Confessional Lutherans, BUT as you were told by a representative of the church, it's not essential doctrine and not demanded of all members. Having looked at all the available and "do-able"...

Jesus died for the sins of the world

If you had not merely assumed something, you would have stated your thinking without equivocation instead of using evasive wording like "(It) doesn't have to be stated," "its [sic] implied," and "the foundation is firmly set." ;)

The Doctrine of Limited Atonement Now in a Debate Approved Area.

From Godslovewins.com "As Elwell puts it, “It is true that the benefits of Christ’s death are referred to as belonging to the elect, his sheep, his people, but it would have to be shown that Christ died only for them. No one denies that Christ died for them. It is only denied that Christ died...

    Interactive Religion?

Yes, that is what these people think. Very few Christian churches agree with it, which may tell you something. And then when the questions you asked are put to them, the rationale for their Predestinarian stance most often becomes something like "it shows God to be merciful. If he saves only...

Who is "him that justifieth the ungodly"?

If referring you to it and quoting what you wrote can't help, I'll just say it. Contrary to what you wrote, no one is justified in the absence of Faith. Not, that is, in the sense in which you are using the word, which appears to be identical to or interchangeable with redeemed.

You talk as though "save yourself" is "the" alternative to hardcore Predestinarianism. Doing that makes a handy strawman for the promotion of Predestination, but only a very small percentage of Christians actually fall into either one of those groups.

Who is "him that justifieth the ungodly"?

So does everyone else. It was what you think they say that I was interested in. I thought that you might be able to explain the apparent contradiction in your several posts.

The Doctrine of Limited Atonement Now in a Debate Approved Area.

Absolutely. Whether anyone here believes in Predestination or not, the belief is that God predestined an Elect to receive saving Faith and thereby to be saved. It's not that any Elect were saved simply because God decided to select some sinners to be saved out of the whole population of similar...

    The Sin of Job

Our image has been "tarnished?" Our desires "corrupted?" Sounds a lot like someone is doing his best to put a good face on the Biblical truth that we are sinners. Yes, we--or most of us perhaps--do seek the good, at least at times; but there are none, no not one, who IS good. And that is why...
