    Christmas Shopping

Who knows? It is probably historical. Women used to do the house keeping. Men did the hunting. Things have changed but some arrangements have remained in place. Men do the gardening and heavy work women the inside work and light work. That's probably related to strength more than anything else...

    Chicken being unclean?

Why do people worry about what is "unclean" from an old testament perspective anyway?

    Purgatory?

Some see purgatory or at least the concept of purging by fire as a part of Christian experience in these passages 2 Maccabees 12:39-45, Matthew 12:32, and 1 Corinthians 3:10-15

What are you eating? - Part 2

I am thinking that some sweet potato and potato mash with some onion and carrot and maybe peas and corn will make a nice lunch. I might cook some chicken for dinner. Oh ... I could make some gravy too :)

So... What are YOU doing? - Part 4

I think Scotland ought to leave the UK. It does them no real good being in it. They'd be better off as an independent nation in the EU (if they want to be) than as a subservient brow-beaten part of England's empire. Catalonia would probably be better off out of Spain too.

    Purgatory?

The Orthodox most certainly do but they too run away from the word "purgatory" forgetting their heritage and seeking to be as different from "Rome" as they can be without abandoning all of their Traditions. Anglicans are confusing. Nobody really knows what a "true Anglican" is. They have spilt...

So... What are YOU doing? - Part 4

Did you see Snakes on a Plane It was shockingly bad. I saw it because a friend took me to see it expecting it to be bad and it was worse than expected.

Ghosts: unfinished business how does that relate to God?

Ghosts (the Holy Ghost excepted) are a fiction and nothing more. Just a pass time for bored human beings who like to tell "horror stories" and stuff. Waste of time really, except if seen as an art form and then they are amusing but not theological.

How Old is TOO Old to Trick-or-Treat?

I say 95 because at 95 your electric buggy is too big to fit on a small path and it can't climb stairs and it's bad manners to run over the little kids in your rush to get the "candy" ... :smirk:

    Purgatory?

Why is it that so many of these "charismatic preachers" got saved from drugs, porn, sex addiction, crime, and who knows what else? Shouldn't they be in prison for all the bad things they did rather than preaching about it? They talk like they "got saved" a few months or maybe a year or two...
