    APOSTLE'S or NICENE Creed?

One more time... The Creeds summarize the fundamentals or essentials of the Christian faith. They are not intended to cover the range of every last issue that someone somewhere--or some churches, for that matter--might care about in addition. And all of us here could easily pose questions...

Who is "him that justifieth the ungodly"?

Let's see. I "got it" well enough to show you where you went wrong, didn't I? ☺️ Why is it that you cannot defend your own theory?

    APOSTLE'S or NICENE Creed?

In one sense, but you are forgetting what the reason is (and was) for having the Creeds. It's not the same as the Scriptures.

Who is "him that justifieth the ungodly"?

What the verse is saying is that if Christ had simply died and did not come back from the dead and live again as he'd promised, that would have proved that he was just another preacher and teacher, but not the Son of God or any kind of Savior. If that were shown to be the case, of course our...

    APOSTLE'S or NICENE Creed?

No. They contain what are still the key issues in the Christian faith at any time in history--belief in God, the Trinity, who Christ was, where he came from, what he did and is yet to do, his church, and our own futures with a resurrection after death and life eternal. To put it mildly, there's...

    APOSTLE'S or NICENE Creed?

It's an interesting question. In our churches, the option is explicitly given to the priest to use either one of these Creeds, although the Apostles' Creed is usually the choice for Morning Prayer and the Nicene for Holy Communion services.

Who is "him that justifieth the ungodly"?

I don't "get" how throwing yourself upon the mercy of God--at his invitation--is supposed not to be any better than trying to keep every aspect of the Law for the whole of your life. The idea that we "might as well" keep the Law instead of believing and trusting Jesus for our salvation through...

    As you have gotten older

That's unfortunate, but I guess that is how human nature works. One thing about abortions, however, is that it's done out of the sight of bystanders, unlike speeding, boozing, panhandling, shoplifting, and a lot of other practices that are offensive to many people AND witnessed by them.

    A serious question ...

Obviously, the intention in the OP was to whitewash actions taken by of those both groups by mischaracterizing their actions and motives as always innocent and harmless. But that aside, it certainly is permissible for Christians to oppose the actions described, just as Christians might find...

The laws vary, that's true, and that's an indication of not much more than how politically strong or weak the pro-abortion forces happen to be. You made this same point yourself. But in this discussion here, the issue was reduced simply to whether or not the woman should have the right to kill...

    As you have gotten older

Wait a minute. No one is arguing that she shouldn't have the right, for example, to have her ovaries removed or in some other way alter her own body. This is about abortions! It is SOMEONE ELSE's body that is under discussion, and no, nobody has the right to murder another person simply because...

    APOSTLE'S or NICENE Creed?

Your claim was that there was no mention of the Scriptures. That's it, not something about the Scriptures that you think should have been included in the Creeds.

Who is "him that justifieth the ungodly"?

That idea makes no sense. It's because it is not possible to keep the Law (meaning keep it perfectly and throughout the whole of one's life) that a Savior was needed. Christ was that Savior, and he paid the price for our sins, meaning that we can be saved in a different way, which is through...

    APOSTLE'S or NICENE Creed?

You need to get your alibis straight if your 'damage control' effort is to succeed. That's the third time you've complained that there is no mention of the Scriptures in the Creeds, when it's right there and you have already been pointed to it. "I believe in one God, the Father Almighty, maker...

    A serious question ...

A "serious question?" Not that one. Not as it was constructed. That wording is like asking if it's right to oppose people wearing brown clothes and swastika armbands because they have read German history books and sponsor youth groups that go camping. :( .

    APOSTLE'S or NICENE Creed?

Of course, but these (Apostles' and Nicene) are the two that are universal and are among the oldest, so for those reasons, they have a certain understandable prominence. There's nothing wrong with either one, not even if a lot of shade has been thrown at them on this thread.

Who is "him that justifieth the ungodly"?

Hello again. "All the same," huh? Well, here's a better approach. Do a little study of the matter and FIND OUT what you're talking about. This is an important matter, and none of us is well-served by merely passing it off as referring to "anything a person does." If you do that, you miss...
