    A P O C R Y P H A : Included in every Holy Bible from the 4th century AD to the 19th Century AD

Catholic and Orthodox Churches both receive these books as canonical: Tobit, Judith, parts of Esther, 1& 2 Maccabees, Wisdom, Sirach, Baruch, parts of Daniel. Protestants reject these as non-canonical. Protestant rejection runs deep enough to exclude these books and parts of books from their...

    John 10:33

John 1:1-3 doesn't say that the Word came to earth. That is said in John 1:14. John 1:1-5 tells the reader that the Word is God and that the Word created everything that was created. The verses also say that Life was in him and that Life was the Light of humanity.

In the New Testament, the word basileia can be translated as "kingship" (abstract noun), "kingdom" (concrete noun) or "reign" (action noun). the Kingdom of God lies ahead of us. It is brought near in the Word incarnate, it is proclaimed throughout the whole Gospel, and it has come in Christ's...

    John 10:33

I think that the explanation given is incorrect. The reasoning appears to assume that Jesus and the Father are two independent beings, one being the greater (the Father, who is identified as God) and the other being the lesser (the Son, that is to say, Jesus). A better explanation is this, given...

    A P O C R Y P H A : Included in every Holy Bible from the 4th century AD to the 19th Century AD

There is evidence that the Clement of the letters is the clement mentioned in Saint Paul's letters. But many modern scholars disagree. The letters are not canonical scripture yet have had importance as a source of information about the state of the Church in Rome and the Church in Corinth in...
