It seems to me that the Bible is silent regarding whether life exists elsewhere in the universe, so I don't see that the existence or otherwise of extraterrestrial life changes anything.
It's sometimes tricky to figure out whether gaffes are signs of an issue or whether it's just the kind of thing that we all do from time to time.
I remember when Bush Jr referred to abolishing the death penalty. He meant to say he wanted to abolish the death tax. No big deal. But when Obama...
I guess if an animal that would typically eat meat is hungry it will attack species it might not normally attack out of desperation. I've heard of a very small number of incidents of black bears behaving aggressively towards humans for no readily apparent reason but I think we are so different...
There is a steady trend of things shrinking, it would appear.
My wife and I used to sell stuff at craft fairs - more as a hobby turned into a bit of income than anything else. We found the general trend was that takings would decline over time and as we gradually dropped shows from our list...
It's an interesting idea. I can't imagine it working in a city area, I dread to think what things might be put into the box if it fed straight through into the office.
I went to a local craft show this afternoon. It's one my wife in particular looks forward to visiting. The forecast was for relatively mild weather today when compared to the rest of the week so we chose today. It seemed smaller than previous years, which is a shame because it was only a couple...
It's really hard to know if you're serious here or not.
You seem to be blending a whole load of random ideas of what you think she should be doing and acting as if it's God's will that she follow exactly what you think without stopping to question anything. You're listing "hair in a ponytail"...
Very little. Two of them died when I was very young and I was never close to the two that survived. When the third grandparent died I was well into my 30s and I sat through the funeral wondering if I was in the wrong place - I didn't even recognise the person they were describing.
Looking forward to a lazy afternoon. My suggested workout today was a VO2 max intensity workout but since I haven't done any anaerobic work for a month or more because of the heat I decided to do harder but shorter repeats, pushing the primary benefit up from VO2 max to anaerobic. My legs...
What kind of bears do you have in your area? Here we have black bears that generally don't attack people (but getting between mama bear and her cubs is unlikely to end well).
I've seen bear scat more often than I've seen actual bears. I know they are out there, I just very seldom see them. It is good to see hawks and eagles flying. Every once in a while we get an owl but I haven't seen one for quite a long time. One year we had one nesting right outside the house...
The annual meeting should be important but my experience recently is that people share thoughts and the thoughts are then completely ignored. I didn't bother to go to last year's meeting, and don't plan to attend this year's meeting either.
Finally got the insulation panels finished off in my work room. One offcut was about 1/2" too small to fit perfectly into a space in the adjacent room that I haven't finished panelling yet - it's going to be a bathroom so there's a bit more work to be done yet. Not least moving the big stack of...
We get voles, raccoons, possums, rabbits, squirrels, groundhogs and a few songbirds in the yard. We see vultures, hawks and eagles flying in our general area. One year we had a bald eagle land in the yard - it turned out we had a rabbit that died and the eagle decided to help itself to an easy...
It seems to me like another case of asymmetric warfare.
We've seen it in the Middle East, where the West fires a cruise missile worth millions into the desert where it blows up a tent and a couple of camels. In response the enemy fighters leave a roadside IED botched out of a salvaged land mine...
Still way too hot to run so I did a walk instead. An hour in the sun was enough for me to come home soaked with sweat and needing time to cool off and rehydrate. Now I"m sitting with the air conditioning running enjoying the coolness.
Funny how cat hair sticks to everything except the cat.
We also have a cat but don't need to clean up after him every day. Usually after a few days there are a few patches of cat hair floating around and we vacuum them all up.
