    If paedobaptism were taught...

I would see that as adding something to the cross of Christ. When Jesus said "it is finished" he didn't then need to add something else to make salvation more possible. You are saved by grace through faith in Christ and nothing else needs to be added. And Baptism is actually an experience...

    If paedobaptism were taught...

That is where we are going to have to disagree. I don't believe baptism is a mode by which God brings his children to him or the promises he claims. I'm not going to go on and on about that, but I will simply say I disagree. While baptism is important, I don't see it as conveying salvation...

    If paedobaptism were taught...

I would be okay with that, but how is an infant going to repent when they don't have the cognitive ability to do so? Yes, repentance is a gift. We can't truly repent unless God gives us the ability to do so. But, I would be concerned about people who are lost thinking that they are saved...

    JOHN 14:12 WHATSOEVER YOU ASK

If this teaching is only for the disciples then why would the Holy Spirit lead them to write it down for us today?

    JOHN 15:1 THE TRUE VINE

I'm really confused by how you can separate clear instruction for the church and then claim that this is for "disciples of Christ and his kingdom" but then turn around and say that it is not for the church. Who do you think the church is? Your making a separation where none exists

The christian response to global warming

Yes, which has to do with the issue of stewardship. Our lack of care of this world that God gave man the responsibility of in the garden. I am equating "global warming" with the fact that mankind has not done a good job with its task of stewardship.

    If paedobaptism were taught...

As someone who is Baptist (or at least a member of a Baptist church) I can tell you for me the issue is not one of age. I have personally baptized a child who is 5 years old. Some would think that is too young. The kid almost actually baptized herself she was so excited about her relationship...

    JOHN 14:12 WHATSOEVER YOU ASK

Where do you get the exclusions in the verses you mentioned? I don't see any exclusionary statements except these are for those who love God and follow his commandments

Lawsuit Leads To Rule Change For Religious Students

I'm a little confused about the wording. It says the person can withdraw without having a penalty, but if you withdraw then wouldn't you not be allowed to continue in the tournament? I would think it would be very difficult to be a professional athlete and not play on Saturday (I realize this...

Romans 8 Study part 13 (RULERSHIP)

It's interesting when you talk about ruling with Christ. But, when I see the 24 elders before God's throne you see them casting their crowns before the throne. Their goal is not to rule themselves, but to acknowledge His rule. It isn't really about sharing power with Jesus. It is about...

    The false gospel of grace

There is only one true gospel. Paul told us that other imitators would come and they have since his day. The gospel has been attacked in all sorts of ways. You see it as early as the letter to Galatia and Colossae where the Jews were trying to add to the gospel.

The christian response to global warming

Nope. the post you highlighted mentions earth warming. How is that "roaming all over the place"?

The christian response to global warming

I believe the key issue here is one of stewardship. God put man in charge of taking care of the garden and from what I can see we have pretty much run things into the ground. All the time you hear about the amount of trash in the ocean and the earth warming. I don't see Christians doing much...

The christian response to global warming

this article is from the NASA web site "The current warming trend is of particular significance because most of it is extremely likely (greater than 95 percent probability) to be the result of human activity since the mid-20th century and proceeding at a rate that is unprecedented over decades...

There is actually a smaller wall already there and they climb over it or tunnel under it. It stops nothing.

Because I have been on insulin so long it appears that my stomach is not absorbing insulin like it use to. I switched sites today and am using my arms for infusion sites and getting good results. So far, my numbers for my blood sugar today have been really good.
