    Bivocational pastors verses career pastors

Yes, I know. That would be a huge package for a small church like that. When I worked in the church the whole package would have been much smaller even figuring in the parsonage that the church owned but the pastor would be allowed to live in.

    JOHN 15:1 THE TRUE VINE

Absolutely, Jesus ministry was first to the Jewish people when he was on the earth. He gave them the first chance to respond just as Paul did. Paul usually started his ministry in the synagogue. When they did not respond he went to the Gentiles.

    Crime Maps online

I actually hope that I don't move again, but if I did I would have to agree with Tango that it would be somewhere fairly remote.

    Bivocational pastors verses career pastors

I don't know of any small or middle size Baptist church that pays its pastor that well.

Who will face Trump in the election of 2020?

That's because Castro's campaign is failing and he has to go after the guy who is polling the best which is Biden. But, to answer your question it seems like a three or four candidates now realistically are in the Democrat field, Biden, Warren, Harris and Sanders

How do you feel about female pastors?

I don't see anywhere in scripture where it is permitted. But, of course, some would say that was a different time and culture then and we have to understand the culture that Paul lived in. Back then, women simply didn't teach men in a religious setting.

How do you feel about female pastors?

Do you think it is biblical for pastors who preach and teach in the church to be female? If so, why and what is your biblical support for this? How do you deal with that in light of what 1 Timothy 2:11-12 says 11 "A woman should learn in quietness and full submission. 12 I do not permit a...

    Bivocational pastors verses career pastors

Do you think it is biblical that some pastors do their job full time and have that as their singular career? Or is it more biblical for those who preach to also have jobs outside of the church? I found that when I have worked inside the church, I have had less of an opportunity to share my...

    If paedobaptism were taught...

Okay, thank you for sharing Josiah. Since I have said what I think I am not going to reply anymore to this thread. I will say however that I don't think that repentance is "off topic" as you claim because to me repentance is the singluar event that is needed before baptism can occur. Since...

    JOHN 15:1 THE TRUE VINE

As a believer in the New Covenant which Jesus instituted at the Last Supper, I interpret the Old in the light of the New, but I don't discount it. So, of course, animal sacrifices are no longer appropriate because Jesus became our eternal sacrifice. That doesn't though discount the commands in...

    If paedobaptism were taught...

Okay, I did read your post 296. Mainly you seem to be talking about Anabaptist and an age mandate which I think I already said that I don't have a particular age mandate. I do believe the person should repent first before being baptized which doesn't strike me as unusual since the early...

    Antonio Brown accused of rape

It is a civil law suit not a criminal one so he wouldn't be going to jail regardless. We don't know why at this point a criminal case was never brought
