Should Christians fight for their faith?

"Fight" is a broad spectrum term and "fight for their faith" is even broader. To one person it might mean one thing and to another a different thing, could you narrow it down a bit?

Does a 'Thought for Thought' translation or 'Dynamic Equivalence' make a difference?

The original language, both the spoken and written forms, of the bible have been translated according to a bit of guesswork since their written forms often didn't have punctuation included to reflect the truest meaning of what was first spoken and then written, and often written in a different...

USA Why did Spirit fail? Too many passengers hated flying it

All businesses fail for the same reason, they don't make enough money to stay in business. So the real question is why didn't they make enough money. Every failure is a learning opportunity, both for the one that fails and those observing the failure.

THE COMING FALSE MESSIAH IN JERUSALEM

You might be surprised at how many people believe that though. In everything I do I also consider the narrow and wide paths, and all of those who truly believe they are Christians but to whom Jesus willl say "I never knew you" at judgment. This is what is in scripture, and we need to consider...

    Salvation

If you recall, your original post to me was in criticism of my post about interpretation as being opiniom ("Scripture is what is written, interpretation of scripture is opinion about what is written. We all have opinions and like the blind men describing the elephant all of us are both right and...

    Salvation

Isn't that exactly what I said when I said all includes every man from Adam to the end of mankind? You are the one that took exception to that, and you are the one that says scripture is exactly what it says and cannot be interpreted to mean or include anything other than that which would put...

    Salvation

So then all doesn't really mean all then, instead it means some? Tell me how that works without interpreting anything, strictly relying on the perfect use of language in scripture (which is already being denied by saying all really means some instead of all, which is an interpretation of a word...

    Salvation

To me all means all, no exceptions. everyone ever born, Adam and included even though they were not born, from the beginning of time to the end of it. No one is lost to salvation even though having died before the flood. What does it mean to you?

    Salvation

That's kind of my point, we all have opinions about what something means, and it is when we hold our own opinion as superior to all other opinions and even go so far as to claim any other view (opinion) than our own is false we end up limiting our knowledge of overall truth the same the blind...

Did Christ die for them that are perishing ?

That's true. Let me give you an example, if we talk about a pretty little girls school what are we talking about. But since you introduce logic to the conversation how do you feel about Wittgenstein and the way he addressed the subject? His earlier work directly addressed what can be talked...

    When was the Sabbath Created.

This is interesting, what has God done during the 7000 year cycle since the original seventh day, and how many of them have there been? What day is it now and what is God doing today (is it the 6th day again for him as it is for man?)
  16. F

    When was the Sabbath Created.

I asked about what is a day to God, not man. What day is it to God?

Did Christ die for them that are perishing ?

So your saying that language is precice and ther can be no misunderstanding of it. I don't agree with that. For one thing, what language are you talking about?
  18. F

Did Christ die for them that are perishing ?

I'm saying that we all do whether we know we are doing it or not. If it were not so there would be no disagreement on what a scripture means or how it should be practiced. All language is imprecise, been that way since that incident on the plain of Shinar.

Did Christ die for them that are perishing ?

Scripture is what is written, interpretation of scripture is opinion about what is written. We all have opinions and like the blind men describing the elephant all of us are both right and wrong at the same time. The way I see it, others will see it differently.

What should the government NOT control?

On the federal level all of those things it is not given specific permission to control in the Constitution, which is a document of restrictions of those things not given stated permissions. On the State level those things not allowed by their individual constitutions and not prohibited to them...
