Is Obedience a Condition of Salvation?

If it was 100% obedience 100% of the time or else we would not be saved then none of us would be saved. At least we agree on that. In regards to Mark 16:16, if one truly believes then why would they refuse to be water baptized? It’s the lack of belief that causes condemnation and not the lack of...

Is Obedience a Condition of Salvation?

Disobeying a specific command may be a manifestation of disbelief in that situation, but that does not mean Moses disbelieved God in general and was considered an unbeliever. Moses was not allowed to bring this assembly (including himself) into the land which was given them based on that act of...

Do you agree with Cancel Culture?

If banning people from social media for making political statements that liberals are offended by then I disagree with it.

Is Obedience a Condition of Salvation?

The act of obedience that saves is choosing to believe the gospel. (Romans 1:16) In Romans 10:16, we read - "But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Isaiah says, "Lord, who has believed our report?" Here we can see that we obey the gospel by choosing to believe the gospel. In regards to...

Is Obedience a Condition of Salvation?

Well said. We could never be obedient enough to merit eternal life. Our imperfect obedience is insufficient to save and our righteousness comes from Christ. Romans 5:19 - For just as through the disobedience of the one man the many were made sinners, so also through the obedience of the one man...

So... What are YOU doing? - Part 8

Lucky for me, I only drive 2 miles to work and I only put around 5,000 miles on my car per year. I bought my car in October of 2016 and I just turned over 20,000 miles yesterday.

    Churches Opening During Crisis?

Well said. I once visited a church in which the Pastor stated, "the church should be a hospital for sinners and not a country club for saints."

Christ's finished work of redemption is sufficient and complete to save believers. No supplements needed. (Romans 3:24-28)

    Have you used VR

It would be so cool if they could perfect VR for world travel. I could be on the beach in Bora Bora and it would really seem like I'm there. I would definitely be a world traveler in VR if they perfected it!

    Do you have any tattoos?

When I was in high school from 1980-1984 I can't recall any high school students having a tattoo. The only people I knew who had tattoos back then were either bikers, convicts or people serving in the military. Today, tattoos are very common. Even among high school students.

    Favourite Asian Foods?

Does anyone here like Thai food and can you handle Thai "hot"? I like hot spicy food, but I met my match when I tried Thai hot. I have to draw the line at "medium" at Thai restaurants. :giggle:

    What surgeries have you had?

I had a hernia operation back in 2009. It amazed me how fast it was lights out when they hit me with the anesthesia. I was really sore for the next 3 days. I was off work for 3 weeks and right when the 3 weeks was over my 2 week vacation started. Perfect timing.

How often do you get your haircut?

I'm a product of the 80's so I wear my hair closer to medium length. I guess you could say I'm kind of stuck in the 80's. For the longest time I had a mustache with no other facial hair. Finally, by around the year 2008, my son and his girlfriend at the time told me that I either needed to shave...

How often do you get your haircut?

If I wanted my hair really short, cutting it yourself is the way to go. My son was cutting his own hair for a while using clippers and setting them at a #3 for the top and a #2 for the sides. Now he is back to getting haircuts again because his wife prefers him to wear his hair a little longer...

So... What are YOU doing? - Part 8

Preparing for another rolling black out/power outage. We lost power for 1 hour at our home yesterday morning and at the Post Office for almost an hour. Evergy has been implementing controlled, temporary emergency electricity reductions. I understand this is happening in multiple states across...

So... What are YOU doing? - Part 8

It's back to work today (after the holiday) so the mail volume will be heavy. To add insult to injury, we received 2 more inches of snow last night and the temperature is below zero this morning.
